We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We stayed for 2 nights, and what made this place even more special is that we were their very first guests — what an honor! 🙏 The family running the villa is super friendly, warm, and caring. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. The clean fresh air, hot water, and beautiful surroundings made us feel like we were in heaven. This place is quiet, clean, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and unforgettable experience. We will definitely come again. We stayed at the most wonderful hotel, and it honestly exceeded every expectation we had. From the very beginning, the manager went out of his way to help us organize our trips and make sure everything ran smoothly. He took his time to talk to us, offer advice, and make sure we were comfortable with every plan — something you don’t often experience in hotels. Our server, Ranawada (apologies if I got the name slightly wrong), was absolutely amazing. He was always so kind, attentive, and full of interesting stories about the food and the local culture. Every meal felt special, not just because the dishes were different each day and always delicious, but because they were served with such care and pride. Throughout our stay, we were surprised again and again by so many thoughtful gestures — both big and small. From the warm smiles to the little details that showed how much the staff truly cared, it all made us feel at home. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness were unforgettable. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and so comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better — peaceful and scenic. It’s rare to find a place where every single person seems to genuinely want you to be happy. Leaving was honestly bittersweet — I was ready to go home, but it was hard to say goodbye to the wonderful people who made our stay so special. We will remember this experience for a long time and recommend this hotel with all our hearts.❤️

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking 24 hectares of tea plantation, surrounded by luscious mountains. It is the perfect combination of peace and isolation amidst a breathtaking scenery. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests’ needs - be it booking car transfers or showing the best hike routes in the area. This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.

The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good. They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.
