We stayed here for the first two nights upon arriving in Sri Lanka and could not recommend it more. It was perfect for relaxing and recuperating after our long flight before heading off to explore more of the island. The hotel sent a complimentary chauffeur who was there to collect us at arrivals (and our flight was over an hour delayed!). From arrival, all the staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly. One of us has a severe allergy to coconut and peanuts and all the hotel staff were so accommodating and were even able to prepare traditional Sri Lankan food without any coconut. The room was spotless and spacious with excellent air conditioning and a very large bed for sleeping off the jet lag. The staff were also so helpful in organising transfers/activities/restaurant recommendations. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

The cottages are comfortable, clean and spacious. The environment they are nested in is beautifully created. The reception was great, we checked-in late night without issues. Very hospitable and accommodating. Excellent value.

The time I spent in Steps Garden Resort is remarkably Wonderful. Staff very helpful, well trained and their hospitality is beyond. The room was hygiene and had a nice view. If I have more time before I end my trip I’d love to spend another time at this resort

I recently had a wonderful experience at Uga Riva in Negombo. From the start, the staff made us feel so welcome and really looked after us throughout our visit. Their service was attentive but relaxed, which made for a very enjoyable meal. The food was outstanding – every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You could tell that fresh ingredients and a lot of care went into each plate. They have a nice mix of traditional Sri Lankan dishes and some international options, so there’s something for everyone, and it all tasted fantastic. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience with excellent food and top-notch service. Uga Riva is definitely worth a visit if you're in Negombo!

Excellent stay here - one of my favourite places of the whole year. Super comfy rooms with hot water and tea/coffee. Great breakfast. Lovely pool area for relaxing and a pool table. We are coming back at the end of our trip for one night before our flight out but I would have liked to stay longer. Staff were friendly, attentive with good communication via booking.com. Great for airport stopover. I lived the house - would like to build the same in Australia!

The place is just amazing! Owned by a family, there is such a great atmosphere there (it truly feels like home)! We felt welcomed since the very moment when we arrived! Guys picked us from the airport, though it was late at night, offered some tea and mango juice at 3 am!! 😇🥹 And then we had the most beautiful and delish traditional breakfast! Thank you for your hospitality and such a warm welcome to Sri Lanka 🇱🇰❤️ Highly recommend the place!
