Very nice calm and peaceful location. Staff is very nice. They tried do the best for guests. Good service. We had a nice experience in a colonial time estate bunglow. Definitely we will visit this place again.

We were really happy with our stay from day one. The staff was very nice and professional and our room was clean and comfortable. The best part however is the view! You really feel that you are in the heart of nature. The food was also good with relatively cheap prices. There was nothing to complain about and I hope we come back soon. Highly recommended!

We came across Wanakaset accidentally and fitted it into our already tight schedule, so we could only stay for one night, which is a shame. We would have liked to stay at least one more night to see more of the estate, especially as we had the “Apple room”, which is the big room at the front side of the building with the best view. We very much enjoyed this unusual accommodation, the fantastic views and the fireflies at night. The bed was the most comfy we had in Sri Lanka and despite our concerns we had no problems with mosquitos. Also we had our own (but not ensuite) bathroom, which we did not expect. Maybe because Wanakaset was not fully booked.

This is a new place and the quality is first rate. Spacious rooms with an uninterupted view of the jungle. About 1km from the road along a rough track. We ate with the host and the food was delicious. Loads of colulorful birds to watch from the balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. There was also a TV but we didn't use it. At night it is really dark so bring a torch if you are wanting to walk out.
