I'm really demanding person but I was fascinated about this place! Let's Start with location. It's situated about 10 minuts by foot from Aluthgama railway station. It's very convenient when you trevel by train like we. You shouldn't worry about noise because this hotel is on a quiet street near the river. For people who is really in nightlife there are no bars, cafes and parties around this place. Instead of this you can enjoy amazing sunsets and try water activities on the river or fly on a glider over the beach. The hotel is separated from the beach by a river so they give you a free ride to the beach by boat. The beach is sandy, wide and almost deserted. There are no cafes but I saw several sunbeds so probably it could be rented. The coast is quite flat and the ocean depth is shallow, so the place is suitable for children Guest house is pretty small (about 5-6 rooms) and doesn't have a garden where people can walk but we didn't suffer about it. Amazing and welcoming family run it. They helped us with all questions but were not intrusive. We took a river safari excursion from them and did not regret it. We saw monitor lizards, endemic monkeys, small crocodiles, bats and birds. All the time we ate only in this hotel. They provide very tasty and filling breakfasts. We were served scrambled eggs in different forms (scramble, omelet, etc.), yogurt, fruit, toast, butter and jam, juice, tea or coffee. Besides they have a wide selection of dishes in menu including grilld meet( chiken, beef, porc), sea food, noodles, rice etc. All was available and has affordable price. We stayed in family room on the first floor. It is spacious, bright, extremely clean and fully matches with photo and description. Definitely recommend this hotel and say a huge thank you to this family!

It was our best stay on our 2 weeks trip in Sri Lanka and we were in 9 different hotels. The room and bathroom were very clean an a lot of space. We can ask for everything. We had a nice view of the lagoon. The Hotel has an amazing ambience. And all people are very friendly and helpful. In compare to others you get very tasty food and drinks for a good price. Highly recommended!

In 1 word 'amazing'. Susanna is a wonderfull host who goes the extra mile for her guests such as helping with a Safari boat trip (which only 200 meters from the accomodation), complementary snacks and a home made limoncello after dinner. The self cooked dinner as the breakfast was top notch and we've had the best coffee. The pool and rooms (with inside and outside shower) were really nice.

We had planned to spend 4 days in Mirissa around New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately we found ourselves in a hotel that really didn’t meet our expectations so I frantically searched online for an alternative. Being NYE not very much was available but luckily we found Anveela. Not in the area we originally planned but sooooo much better. This property is perfect for any person, couple or family who look for peaceful accommodation with excellent service. You are surrounded by a very well maintained garden but also the whole area is very green so you will see as many exotic birds flying overhead as you did in Yala national park. We had the family suite and it was so big that I honestly kept getting lost between the rooms. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk down a side street and there you will find wide beaches lined with restaurants. The waves are not too powerful and everything is perfect for families. Finally the staff. Everyone was wonderful, helpful and friendly. I couldn’t wait for breakfast each morning, enjoying delicious food whilst starring out at the garden. When we return to Sri Lanka we will stay for at least a week.

It is truly a wonderful experience The hotel has the most magnificent views, staff exceptional, clean and great facilities. The only issue I had was with the tv and wifi, both were swiftly and efficiently solved. Breakfast was lovely and we ate our evening meal there on 3 occasions, very good food. We jet skied, went on a fishing trip and enjoyed the free ferry accross the river to the beach. I would strongly recommend. We felt like we were trated like family.

It has a wonderful atmosphere; it's lovely to watch the river all day and the sunset in the evening. The owner was very helpful, and it's close to everything – markets in 3 minutes, train station a 10-minute walk – and a fantastic breakfast.
