I loved everything about Halketha. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from Chitra, Mary and Nelumi. We were taken to our villa across a beautiful landscaped garden that also stays true to its love for the natural environment. The villa itself was perfection - perfectly decorated, clean, homely but also provided you with a sense that you were in luxury. The outdoor bathroom was a cherry on top, with a beautiful araliya tree in the middle. During our stay, we were not only treated close to family, but the quality of service was nothing like I had seen in Sri Lanka for a long time. The food was authentically Sri Lankan, with a rich yet classic taste. The property is close to mini waterfalls and great walks. This is a stay I will keep coming back to. A reminder that authentic and wholesome experiences still exist in Sri Lanka.

I loved this small personal hotel. It has 4 bedrooms and it was just perfect. A cute pool that was big enough to keep cool, but you could also swim even if not an Olympic size..The staff are so friendly and if you wish will address you by name. I loved the fresh baked fruit bread at breakfast, my personal choice of a yummy option. Made by Susan in house. The beach is right outside the second area of the property. Local to other places to visit and eat if you are out for the day. It's such a lovely place to stay, I will be returning on my next visit.

A beautiful place with comfortable air-conditioned rooms in a private villa surrounded by a garden. A swimming pool available anytime, extremely nice and helpful hosts. You can also order tasty lunch/dinner. To reach a beach, you need to walk for about 5 minutes in between surrounding houses. Thanks for the advice to go to see Galle by train, it was fun and definitely worth the trip.

Probably the most friendly and helpful staff on my entire trip to srilanka. If you are in the area this place is a must stay ! And in the morning an incredible breakfast with Dahl, string hoppers, crepes, fresh eggs , fresh fruit and really good coffee. Great place to stay 👌🏼 ❤️

Hotel on the beach . Room spacy. Dinner -as you wish. On weekends life music. Before visit to Sri Lanka , I find out a lot off information in chats about visiting places . But decided to book everything when arrived to Hotel. And I do not make a mistake. Hotel owner everything offered and prices the same . So I have seen a lot of more than decided to see. In one word: outstanding holidays. Design of the hotel: marvelous tropical modernist style designed by the leader of the movement, Geoffrey Bawa. Tropical nature all around. Luxury rooms. Lagoon. Sound of ocean and birds. Food excellent. And the most important people and their outstanding service. My host was Uneska and all credits go to her for such wonderful time in Kalutara. Don’t miss this place. Perfect to combine with another one Bawa’s masterpiece in Sigiriya.
