The room was beautiful, with a very nice view of the lake and the bathroom was amazing, the experience of having shower in the middle of the nature is so great! We also enjoy having drinks at night in the beautiful garden in front of the lake. The breakfast and the dinner is delicious. We took a massage and it was so relaxing… a perfect place to enjoy the nature (safaris are quite near) and relax

The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

The host, Mina, is exceptionally kind. She wants all her guests to be happy, comfortable and 'well feed'!!! Her cooking is also exceptional. The accommodation is simple, in a good way. I can well understand why people stay longer. Others become life-long friends. I hope to be one of these. A wonderful experience.

A room with a view of the lush garden and a peaceful terrace right in the tranquility of Pollonaruwa. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. The host was exceptionally helpful, arranging guides for both an elephant safari and a tour of the wonders of the old town temples (both highly recommended); I had some money issues but he was very patient in helping to resolve them.

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the...

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

location is wonderful by lake - plenty of places to sit around pool and in beautiful garden leading to lake views and on terrace by restaurant (choice of sun or shade everywhere) - staff super helpful and friendly especially pool attendant and restaurant manager - great for us, but sad for hotel, we were one of only two couples on second night in this 80 room hotel - bungalow room was very elegant with delightful open air bathroom (although nowhere to sit outside) - this would be a great time to visit!!!!!!

This is a sanctuary stay in a rural place. It was easy to find with a bus from the cross roads stop in Habarana, on any bus going to polonnaruwa, getting off at Giritale, 2nd stop then walking a short distance along a canal road. Nilu and family are very welcoming. Breakfast included is delicious. Wonderful meals are available.

The swimming pool was wonderful and the outdoor showers were lovely. Loved that there was a pool table and such a selection of mocktails. Staff super polite, but so reserved that we didn't feel like we were with friends, like you do at a smaller hotel. The fish ponds are divine.

Highly recommend the rooms with the indoor / outdoor bathroom. This makes this hotel unique and something you will remember a long time as being unusual and gigantic. We chose this hotel as a excellent best option whilst visiting the nearby Polunnaruwa Ancient Ruins sites.
