Everything about this place is spectacular. The room itself was beautiful and clean. The aircon worked very well and cooled the room down within a few minutes. The bed was comfortable and there was reliably hot water. The beach and sunbed areas were clean, comfortable, some parts in the shade and they have a full menu with reasonably priced food and drinks. What really made this place special was the staff. Every single one of the people working here was friendly, polite and kind. Some of the guys remembered our names from the first day and were so lovely and hard working. I also did surf lessons with Kalu who was very knowledgeable and helpful and made the lessons really fun.

From the moment we booked the hotel staff looked after us right up until the point that we ended our trip. They took excellent care of us. Nothing was too much trouble including getting plasters and making a diabetic breakfast for me. Rooms were stunning and we even visited the Art shop and purchased some beautiful items. A lovely touch was checking we arrived home safe after leaving Sri Lanka!

Very nice beach, people and good restaurants and shops in...

Very nice beach, people and good restaurants and shops in the village. Not huge and busy. Good place to eat and drink is Funky D Bar. Hikkaduwa was our resting place after travelling on the Eastern side during the cyclone. Unfortunately had to miss a couple of attractions but we did a day trip down to Galle Fort which was worth while - very nice.

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with...

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with friendly and helpful local people. The weather is cool even though we had some rain, but we stayed at the villa on the balcony watching people fishing kayaking and canoeing down the River. The beach area has some unique fresh seafood restaurants, surfing, snorkeling and you can even rent out glass-bottomed boat to see underwater world. There is also a Turtle Hatchery here and Tsunami museum for tourists. Beach is very clean.

Selection of accommodation options are many to suit your budget. Most of the properties are on the beach and with great ocean front views. You can enjoy variety of cuisines in many restaurants located close by.

Property needs full renovation. Staff needs full training. Needs full cleaning. Food so bad (had dinner & so very disappointed) nothing good to say in any aspect of this hotel. My opinion shouldn’t have any stars

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

We travelled in Sri Lanka for one month and FnR was our favourite place to stay.. the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, we felt very at home with them. The chef is very talented and made the best curries we had tasted, breakfast was delicious :) the hotel itself was very beautiful and clean, in such a lovely location.. on the beach, but not in a busy spot so you can enjoy peace and quiet outside the hotel. We can’t wait to come back one day!

Suite Lanka is a lovely place on a rather quiet but beautiful stretch of Hikkaduwa beach. The hotel is very clean, the garden is extremely well maintained and the food (Sri Lanka breakfast) was excellent. All staff members are very friendly, attentive and interested and they are eager to ensure your well-being. Suite Lanka is the perfect place to relax in a personal atmosphere and enjoy the beach.

One of the best Boutique resorts we enjoyed in Sri Lanka. It is an 8 rooms resort. but we love their hospitality, personal care, Sri Lanka tasty food. Crab curry was amazing. We love their Cement look finish all around the hotel with Rustic joinery and antique items. Room is spacious with all the facilities; bathroom is bit small. Overall, we got more than Value for money for our stay.

Riff Hikkaduwa connects everything we have ever wanted from a hotel. The food served in all three restaurants was excellent. You could even try local Sri Lankan cuisine. The staff was super friendly and professional. Our room (Presidential Suite) was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped We had a breathtaking infinity pool on the balcony with a great view of the Indian Ocean.
