I don't know where to start. The place is just magical. It's completely in nature and has an amazing view over the lake. The surroundings are peaceful far away from any noise. The rooms are the biggest I've stayed in here in Sri Lanka and very luxurious. Also the balcony is huge and you can sit down and just enjoy the view on bird island and the lake as well as from your bed when you're waking up. The swimming pool was nice and refreshing and I had it all by myself. Besides the great place the hospitality was on a next level. My mornings have started with a refreshing homemade juice/smoothie that was brought to my room and free of charge. What a great start to the day. Furthermore, the owner arranged a private boat tour on the lake to visit the small islands such as Cinnamon island and I even could see a small crocodile on the tour. The tour took over 3 hours and it was no mass tour. Also, he recommended a great tour guide for Yala National Park and Ella. The dinner I had at the hotel was amazing. You can taste that he was previously working in a 5 star restaurant as a chef. Thanks again for everything and I definitely will come back the next time I'm visiting Sri Lanka.

This three days have been perfect! The whole team is so friendly, kind, helpful and they like to have a chat with you, if you want to. the kitchen did a fantastic job! the breakfast and also the dinner was amazing! one morning, in front of our hotel, there were fishermans fishing. We bought a fish from them and the chef cooked it on the evening for us. Great experience! the hotel, room, pool and beach is very nice. great to spend time there.

Our stay in the bungalow was absolutely delightful! The rooms were beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, and the wifi was fast and reliable – a real bonus. The staff went above and beyond to be polite and helpful, always ready with a smile. We were particularly impressed with the food; every meal was delicious, especially grilled garlic fish (it's spicy though!). We can't wait to return!

A fantastic hotel in a great and quiet location. The facilities are new, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean. We stayed in a wonderfull room with a kitchenette, perfect for spending several days. A special mention goes to the manager, Methsiri. He helped us with everything and was incredibly attentive. He recommended a nearby restaurant with delicious dishes, and he also arranged a taxi to our next destination. We’ll never forget you, Methsiri! Thank you for everything!

YOU MUST STAY HERE...The family that own this homestay couldn't have been more welcoming from the start to the end of our stay. Upon arrival we were handed a cold refreshing drink while the rottweiler introduced himself. Ive been travelling 6 weeks in Asia now and quite frankly this gentle giant made me feel at home very quickly. The daughter helping with my travelling plug issue and connecting me to WiFi, she was simply keen to please in any way. The family's English was amazing and probably the best ive experienced in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was delicious with a huge bowl of fruit followed by eggs,tomatoes and some thick tiger bread with butter and jam. Jug of coffee much welcomed. If I needed something I felt like it was never too much trouble. Location is so close to the beach but feels like the jungle from my room balcony. Within 5min walking distance you have a pub with roof top ideal for watching sunsets called Beauty Coral Bar. A restaurant within the homestay so you dont even need to leave to get food. Another restaurant 5mins up the road called Simple Restaurant if you fancy a change. Clean spacious rooms with good air con,ceiling fan and I love the shower and toilet also very clean and spacious. The whole place from the restaurant to my room,the family and Location I LOVED IT SO much I had to stay another night. So from England Kent to Sunnys Homestay I send you my thanks and my love for everything you did for me.
