The place was beautiful, a little off-road and in the middle of nature. Perfect place to sit back and relax in between big Sri Lankan cities. So quiet and only sounds of nature. The host was super nice, making everything possible for us, bringing us to the most beautiful sunset spot (10 minute hike), preparing the best sri lankan food for dinner, arranging the breakfast table so we could have breakfast with the beautiful view, bringing us to the train station by tuktuk, … The rooms are cozy and the view from the rooms and balconys is incredible, highly recommended! We will definitely come back next time!

Photos hardly do this place justice, unlike other places in Sri Lanka i feel it exceeds what you think it would be.Cloud resort was 100% our favorite accommodation and location on our 2 week visit to Sri Lanka. It is the most beautiful location with breathtaking views, our room had a panoramic view of the valley, which we could see from our bed. Sunset and sundown, such a spoil. Our private butler brought meals to our room, we were treated like royalty. We only stayed 2 nights, we were on a tight schedule, but it is the kind of place you should stay a minimum of 5 nights. The mountain walks to whatch the sunset, the pinawala is super close , the old tea factory is amazing, and just finding peace for your soul. The rooms are incredible, every small detail was crafted and curated by the owners ( family), and is such a treat to discover all the attention to detail and thoughtful comforts. Our bed was a highlight, it was a swing suspended from the ceiling, we have never slept so well being gently rocked to dream land. Inthi was an an incredible host, gave us lots of privacy, but always there if we needed anything. He was super helpful with directions, excursions, and just general info and the history of Sri Lanka. I loved meeting him. Butttt all this said...... the food!!!!!! Oh my word is was blown away, up to this point of our travels the food never blew me away....... but I would definitely recommend having all your meals there. It was beautiful, fragrant, and delicious!!!!!!!!! One of our top stays we have ever been to by far. If you are lucky enough to read my review, don't hesitate to book, you will fall in love, like we did

The hospitality of the hosts was amazing. They collected our luggage on arrival and made sure everything in the room was ready. We were the only one staying in the whole property at the time of check-in so we got a VIP treatment. The chef is an amazing cook and the Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. The chef was really considerate of our food requirements and made sure the food was according to our taste. The property serves halal food.

Everything was wonderful, the location is breathtaking, staff are incredibly warm and helpful, food was great, the pool is stunning and did some yoga watching the sunrise just next to it. Only time I’ve ever had a room with two panoramic views, one of the sunrise and one of the sunset!

Earthbound Residence is a beautiful and inspiring place. It is the most eco aware and sustainability focused place I have ever stayed at and is hopefully the way of the future with tourist accomodation. The owner has built Earthbound residence using natural and recycled materials where possible. I really liked how the rubbish bins and decor are all made from recycled newspapers. The bed was super comfortable and large and the views over Kandy were amazing from both the bedroom balcony and the roof-top restaurant. The creativity box is a great idea and was a fun way to reconnect with my creativity. I also liked the wide choice of breakfast options which catered for different cultural tastes. While staying there I went on the local village tour to meet some of the women who make the recycled paper products and highly recommend the tour. It was a great way to see a small village and meet the local people. The owner of Earthbound and the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
