The guest house was a short walk to the beginning of the Adams Peak trail. This was a perfect location for us as this was our reason for visiting. We arrived late in the evening around 9 PM and were offered dinner which we happily accepted. It was excellent. We did the hike, came back and had lunch. This tiny guest house had better food than many pricey hotels we have stayed in Sri Lanka. The rooms are simple, but functional, and I slept like a baby. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly accommodating with everything we needed. We are very grateful for the hospitality.

I loved my stay at heaven's hill! Namal is such a nice and caring host, making his guests feel welcomed and feel right at home. The food is excellent - they provide breakfast, lunch and dinner on request. The rooftop is a great place to do yoga, meditate or drink a cup of tea. I highly recommend booking a waterfall Tuk Tuk tour with Namals brother. He knows all the good spots and basically everyone in and around town - the way to the waterfalls itself is amazing and you'll have a lot of fun. Thank you guys again for making me feel like home. I hope to come back soon.

Nice helpfull host tip - visit nice Shiva temple nearby with good view. Tastefull dinner and breakfast are offered. For outside meal - Butterfly restaurant is quite expensive, but with the best lake and Sri Pada view

Great host, always trying to help us figure out how to get around and have a nice time! They offered us lots of delicious Sri Lankan food for lunch (with fruits, veges, and coffee from their backyard!) in the family home. Whenever we needed a taxi/tuktuk, they connected us, and when we went camping, they even sent someone who lived in the area to make sure we arrived to the campgrounds safely! And since it was a holiday in Sri Lanka, there weren't many taxis running, so the host generously drove us to our next destination himself (2.5hrs to Kandy!). He invited us to his family's traditions for New Years and introduced us all. They allowed us to extend our stay without issues, and they gave us a bigger room than we expected for the same price since it was available. The room was very clean with mosquito net, toilet paper, balcony, warm water shower, air conditioning, warm blankets for the cold nights, and peaceful common outdoor seating area. If we're ever in Maskeliya again, we'll be coming here again. Can't recommend it enough!

I loved being at Narra Homestay. It is a wonderful family that will help you in anyway they can. As a solo traveler, I always felt taken care of. On my first night, I arrived SUPER late and coincidentally Narra was arriving from Colombo to Hatton around the same time… he kindly gave me a lift to his homestay on his bike. It was very lucky for me but extremely kind of him. He organized a tuk tuk for me to climb Sir Pada, which is a few kms away. Later, the caretaker of the place took me through the village to the water. Oh, the food is absolutely YUMMY… finger licking food. The location is amazing… I would recommend going grabbing tea at a kade a few meters left of the Homestay… it is literally the best vibe!!!

View from the room and balcony was an amazing... Rooms were spotless and the staff is so friendly which made our stay even more great... The place is brand new. When we stayed they opened just a week before so everything was new, towels, sheets, etc. The bed is very comfortable and the breakfast was incredible! The host and his family are very friendly and welcoming and ready to help you in whatever you need. It’s also close to the entrance of Adam’s peak.

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .The hilly terrain is a planners dream. I imagine the buildings painted pastal pink and yellow, flower pots hanging from the eves, it could be a destination rather than a quick stop to buy supplies on the way to elsewhere as is now.
