The hotel is located in a scenic location bordering a beautiful Paddy field. We were able to reach the place in 10 minutes from the Kurunegala Clock Tower. The tuktuk charged us two dollars for it. The staff welcomed us very warmly and prepared everything we needed. There is a restaurant serving Sri Lankan and Chinese food at affordable prices. They are very tasty. But a bit spicy. They charged us a very reasonable price for the bottle of wine we got at this restaurant, which had both local and foreign liquor. They also provided free laundry service, and they were kind enough not to charge us anything for morning tea. Although there are a few things that need to be improved, we are indebted to them for providing us with a fair and valuable accommodation for the money they charged us.

The food here was a delightful surprise. From a scrumptious breakfast to a tasty lunch, dinner, and even coffee breaks, every meal was a culinary treat. Their dedication to providing us with coffee, meals, and assistance at all hours was truly heartwarming. The hotel's setting is nothing short of enchanting. Surrounded by lush jungle, it offers a unique and immersive experience in nature. The outdoor pool, strategically located by the river, was a highlight of our stay. It provided a refreshing escape under the sun, with the soothing backdrop of the river's gentle flow. It was a perfect spot to unwind. The proximity to the river allowed us to connect with nature in a special way. In summary, my stay at this hotel was a delightful blend of great food, exceptional hospitality, immersion in nature, and the joy of sharing space with charming animals. We found the address quickly and easily. The family were very welcoming and kind. The apartment was big, clean, perfect for a family. What we liked most was that we had a fully equipped kitchen to cook in and a washing machine so we could wash our clothes for free. There are shops and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend!

This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

Excellent place for everything, from the facility (the super comfortable bed, the stylish decoration, the beautiful pool) to the impeccable staff and the top quality food. We booked for 2 nights and extended as we enjoyed the place so much. The staff is super nice, speak perfect English and super efficient. A lot of wildlife around the property for nature lovers. All the food (both Western and Asian) we had were excellent at an affordable price. After 8 weeks of having different curries in Sri Lanka, I am confident to say that Bird Park makes the best curry. There are plenty of on-site activities to keep you entertained too. Overall a 10/10.
