One of our holiday highlights. We stayed in the upper apartment “Silver Tips” which was very modern and clean. And the view was amazing, even from the shower! Super friendly staff and amazing food: For dinner we got tasty rice and curry and for breakfast delicious egg-hoppers while overviewing the tea fields and mountaintops around. This accommodation is very close on the Pekoe Trail that we walked, we stayed only one night but we would have loved to stay longer… The area offers a lot of great hikes and magical tranquility far from touristy zones. They serve their own tea from the plantation which has organic quality, all grown naturally.

For a simple authentic experience with great management and service you should stay here. Food is cooked fresh and the manager is lovely. We stayed a night and had dinner, breakfast and lunch. Rooms are simple but with a hot shower and very quiet. The other hotels near charge a lot but seem to have less soul!

A beautiful accommodation in a stunning location, with lovely views. We stayed 3 nights in the villa at Capoe House and enjoyed every minute. The villa is very spacious, clean and comfortable, the meals were excellent and the staff were very professional and attentive. We visited the secret waterfall and hiked to the ancient rock. The lunch menu and drinks are not overpriced. We were the only guests during our stay and felt very well looked after.

This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We chose Meena Amma's Tea Experience because we wanted to have a closer and more genuine experience with locals, and because we wanted an accommodation close to the hiking trails of the Hortons Plains. Meena was such an amazing host. She took care of us in the best way possible. She walked with us to show us the surroundings, explained to us useful tips on Sri Lankan cuisine, and cooked for us the best and most authentic meals we had in Sri Lanka. Although, we thought that her cooking was amazing, it was a little bit salty for our taste buds. The room was nicely decorated and has the convenience of a nearly a 5* standard. Highly recommended accommodation in a strategic location close to Nuwara Eliya and Horton Plains. Just beware of the entrance road to the village is not asphalted!

Almost everything.

Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

We stayed here on our visit to Horton Plains. In value for money it is very good in comparison with other accommodation in Ohia, but compared to other places we stayed in Sri Lanka it does not compare quite so well. The absolute highlight was Nirmal's cooking which was absolutely superb, the best Srilankan food we had in our whole stay.

Nice, simple guest house in a beautiful area. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The food is very good (Sri Lankan and fresh). The room, beds and shower/toilet are basic, hostel like. Transportation to Horton Plains in the morning can be arranged. All together a nice experience to live with a Sri Lankan family!

Amazing stay- thoroughly recommend to all. Beautiful location with the most incredible view. Amazing hikes straight out the door- staff able to explain all the routes so no need to pay for a guide. Delicious food - all meals provided including pack lunches for hiking. Lovely comfortable rooms.

This was my second visit in Ohiya. This place is very special. The combination of the breathtaking nature and amazing people is fabulous! Well this place is not a luxury hotel. It is totally about the nature and the family who run the guesthouse :)
