Very nice and cosy hotel in Anuradhapura. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The staff super friendly and the food very good. It was one of the best Hotels we stayed in while in Sri Lanka. The atmosphere was very calm and cozy. Would definetely stay there again. :)

What a hidden gem! This small boutique hotel with just three rooms is truly a recommendation. From the very first moment, you feel more than welcome thanks to the friendly and personal reception. Not only does the owner’s daughter clearly do her best to make guests feel at home, but the manager also brings a warm and personal touch to everything he does. The hotel just recently opened, and while they’re still figuring out the best approach in some areas, they more than make up for it with their helpfulness, genuine friendliness, and open attitude. You instantly feel at home here. The rooms are beautifully decorated, stylish and comfortable, with great attention to detail. And the breakfast? Fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared – the perfect way to start your day. In short: a personal and welcoming place, run with heart. You leave with a smile and a strong desire to return.

Thoughtful and beautiful architecture. Warm and friendly owners as well as staff. Local food was freshly made and was delicious. Had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend this place for a quite get away from city noise.

Everything was quite impressive. Clean and tidy and the staff are good. We had a nice sleep and pleasant experience there after pedalling a very long and endurance ride pushing against the head winds from Mannar to Anuradhapura Special mention - veg breakfast is excellent

The lady of the house is very friendly and helpful. She makes a very welcoming atmosphere. She cooks excellent meals herself, so we recommend her cooking classes although we didn't try them, our visit was too short to cook. The room was clean and spacy, with wifi and airconditioning. The vicinity was pleasantly quiet. We loved her garden and the garden kitchen where meals were made and served.

Absolutely liked everything about the Residence by Amaya. Relaxed ambience, convenient location closer to Anuradhapura town and other main attractions of the city. First: huge room as you see it , bed big and comfy, all you need is there. In addition the setting is perfect, far from main roads, it is quiet, no car noise, no pollution, immerse in a garden with Coco and banana plants, you wake up with birds singing. there are even the srilanka squirrels! Not sure the name.. Archeological park is far from town and huge, therefore you need a mean of transport anyway... But the most important thing were Ishani and her family. i was booking places for our holiday, when I saw this place and I decided that I was going to book all places run by local families, in order to know them more, the culture, the food. Also I know that srilanka people are very nice and I think they deserve to be known and to be rewarded directly. But I couldn't imagine we were going to feel so well here! They are all so incredibly nice. We had srilanka breakfast and dinner for the 3days prepared by them, great! I suggested them to set cooking classes! The big surprise was that they speak also Italian! So we chat in English and Italian! Leaving this morning was not easy, we felt at home. And I really wishto see them again. For sure we'll keep in touch. I don't think it'll be possible to match this great welcoming place during this trip.
