From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel completely at home. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make our stay special — always kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Traveling as a family, we especially appreciated how thoughtful and accommodating everyone was. The atmosphere was serene and inviting, and every detail seemed designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. Our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cozy. The common areas were equally lovely — ideal for both moments of peace and time together as a family. Whether it was a kind gesture at breakfast or a friendly chat at reception, we felt seen, valued, and cared for, especially my 15 months old daughter! This was more than just a stay; it was an experience of true hospitality. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories. We can’t wait to come back — thank you for everything!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The variety was impressive, from freshly baked pastries to traditional Sri Lankan dishes, all beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Pool: The infinity pool was a highlight of our stay, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It was immaculately maintained and provided a serene environment to relax and unwind. Whether it was an early morning dip or a refreshing swim under the evening sky, the experience was magical. Dinner: The dining experience was another standout feature. I had a wonderful stay at this B&B! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the very beginning, making me feel right at home. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. Plus, the location couldn’t be better – just a short walk from the city center, perfect for exploring everything without needing transportation. Highly recommended!

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. It had strong water pressure with hot water, and great air-con. It says ‘Eric~South Korea’ I guess because I’m here now. I’m from California and I’ve traveled 126 countries. I was very sick when I arrived at the hotel. I slept long time. When I woke up, I came out and the first thing they did was offer to bring breakfast at 11:30am on several plates. That never happened to me in Cal., any other state in my country, and no other time in these other countries, except this place. When was the last time you were offered the complimentary breakfast at 11:30am?!

Recently built and to a high standard. Our room was more than adequate and was spotless. The owner, Asanka, and his family are very welcoming and have a tuk tuk that is available for transport to the various sightseeing spots. The main street is an easy walk away for cafes and supplies. Breakfasts are delicious and are huge. Dinner is also available and should not be missed.

The hotel's staff, particularly Thakshila, were the epitome of hospitality. Her warm smile and professionalism were truly unbelievable. As a relatively new property, the hotel looks exactly like the photos - modern, clean, and well-maintained. Its convenient location provides easy access to the road and nearby attractions. What impressed me most, however, was the exceptional care shown to guests. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, even taking the initiative to clean my bike before I departed! If you're looking for a genuine Sri Lankan hospitality experience in Dambulla, look no further than the Golden Star Hotel. Be sure to meet Thakshila, the backbone of the property, and experience her remarkable hospitality for yourself! *Highly Recommended!*
