We made a last-minute booking and were lucky to get the Sky Villa – a true gem and hidden treasure! The view was absolutely breathtaking, with a private jacuzzi pool and an unbeatable sense of privacy. The service was exceptional, with staff operating at the highest level of professionalism. Totally worth the price. The feeling of being on top of a giant rock is indescribable – truly unique! The room was brand new, and we learned the hotel only opened three months ago. You definitely won’t regret staying here!

I expressed my interest in visiting a local temple, and he went out of his way to take me to one, even sharing his knowledge of Buddhism and meditation. Rosyth Estate is a wonderful little hotel in the middle of nowhere. The team was extremely welcoming and did go above and beyond, even though we only stayed there for one night. Special kudos to the best chicken curry we had ever!

the location is better than described and our expectations!!! ITS AMAZING!!! the elephants are in the river right outside our room /hotel /swimming pool most of the day!!! The hotel had everything you could need! As with most places in Sri Lanka a little tired in places but the staff are fabulous and nothing is too much problem (especially Udantha on reception!) loved it there ! I have to say it was hard to leave!!!

We lived this property because it was so close to where the elephants pass to get to the river to bath. The family were very kind. We had one lovely night here. We saw so many animals and birds from the balcony. It’s was a lovely stay.
