Great value for money. Appreciate the hospitality. I wish nothing but the best for the Art Yala team. There was a good breakfast and a lot of restaurants close by for convenience. Definitely head to the ancient temples close by. It's right next to the lake so it was very relaxing for my family.

In Sri Lanka almost everyone is friendly, open and helpful, but our host at this accommodation was truly exceptional. From the first moment we felt very welcome. We went on a tuk tuk tour together to see different animals in the surrounding area and also visited a temple with him. He showed us many beautiful and special places and explained a lot about the animals, nature, the temple and the history behind it. You could really feel how much passion and knowledge he has. We were treated to incredibly delicious and authentic Sri Lankan food in the morning and in the evening, and lunch would have been possible as well if we wanted. In short, every wish was fulfilled and we experienced and learned so many wonderful things during our stay. We are very grateful for this experience and can highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!

Woww! Village Mango Resort was really awesome! We stayed their very happily. The view was very nice. Staff was also very nice, Very kind and helpfull. Owner arranged us a Yala Safari Tour and it was really adventures. We saw leopards, crocodiles, elephants, bears, deers and more. Jeep driver also very kind. We got our first sri lankan rice and curry at this hotel and it was really tasty! The rooms were very clean. Bathrooms also very clean. This hotel is situated in a nice location. That experience was really awesome. This is the best hotel I booked in Sri lanka!! I can recommend this hotel to everyone who like to visit Thissamaharama. Thank you for yor hospitality! ❤️

The welcome by Mithi and her husband was warm and friendly. The bedroom was amply large enough to accommodate two women with big suitcases and it had plenty of towels and amenities. We loved the huge terrace overlooking the river. It was quiet at night and it was nice to have aircon and fan. It was all clean and modern. Although in a quiet spot it’s not far from a town if you need anything. Also the delicious passion fruit drink Mithi brought us was wonderful. The shower was nice and hot with good water pressure.

I love the hospitality of the hosts. They are really friendly and are very willing to provide me information on the bus timings to and from Tissa. The homestay also has a lovely view of the rice fields from the balcony on the second floor.
