An amazing hotel surrounded by beautiful nature, filled with the sounds of birdsong and the peaceful melodies of the environment. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a full board package, and my favorite dish was the Sri Lankan prawn curry at the Turnstone restaurant. The service was incredibly friendly, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. A special mention to Harsha at the main restaurant, who took excellent care of my drinks and was always warm and welcoming. I also tried the Indian head massage at the hotel spa, which was deeply relaxing. The therapist asked how I was feeling and ensured the pressure was to my liking, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel has a large swimming pool set in the heart of nature, perfect for daytime relaxation. Throughout the day, I only saw about 10 people there, which made it feel peaceful and exclusive. I especially enjoyed sipping fresh coconut water by the pool – a truly refreshing experience. The room was very spacious and had everything I needed, including a minibar, coffee, and tea-making facilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at this hotel and would confidently recommend it to my friends. I will definitely return.

Excellent location. food was delicious made with love. we had dinner and breakfast, it was fabulous. Attentive staff, smiling and courteous. Beautiful decor throughout and attention to detail made our stay extra special. We only stayed 1 night before going to yala safari but would have loved to stay a little longer to enjoy this resort. the owner is a jolly fellow and made us feel welcome. Wonderful experience. Thank you. we will return 1 day. Best wishes.

Incredible host who took os out on a really nice evening tour! He arranged the safari for us the next day where we saw a leopard and elephant! He helped us get transportation to Mirissa as well the next day for a really good price! The view was beautiful and food was good. The location was a bit remote but really nice if you’re doing a safari. Can’t recommend enough:)

I feel very lucky to stay at Nalin’s place. I highly recommend it! It was the best place during my trip. The room was very clean, the mattress was comfortable. We got 5 star service here. Nalin was very kind and nice, prepared everything I asked for, hot water for shower, fruit and blanket. He also brought us to see sunrise, visit 4 beautiful lakes and local temples, and introduced birds. He has very rich bird knowledge. We even saw swimming crocodile in a lake! His wife cooks so well! We had super delicious homemade dinner. I really love it! Nalin also helped us book a safari, and we saw leopard, bear, and many other animals.

This is the place that exceeds your expectations! All the reviews that you read is not too good to be true- it’s a real reflection from people that experienced the stay at the Elegant Lake House. From the first step you’re greeted by Randy and his exceptional service. The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature- perfect place to relax and disconnect. We definitely suggest to stay more than one night if you can, because we promise you won’t want to leave. Randy has a lot of knowledge to share about his village and nature and he gladly does it for his guests by showing around. The food that they prepare is delicious! The rooms are very well equipped, super clean and new. So, if you’re reading this review- don’t think any more and book your stay at Elegant Lake House. It’s a true example of hospitality! The view was wonderful. You can see from the terrace the Debarawewa lake with its wild life (water buffalos, lots of birds and sometimes crocodiles). The hosts were very nice and attentive to our needs. I also enjoyed the tasty food. The host also arranged the safari and I was picked up directly from the accommodation. I didn't have to worry about anything. The room was clean and had air conditioning.

Great place! My friend and I stayed in this two room home - he was in the bottom room and I was in the top room so we had the whole place to ourselves! The rooms are huge, both with large outdoor space. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are modern, and the property is beautiful. The host, Mithila, is super friendly and helpful. She booked us a well-priced safari at Yala and we were lucky enough to see a leopard! She also said she could order us food to eat at the place, but we decided to go out instead.
