Property was amazing we booked the deluxe double, the standard was exceptional. Extra large bed was very comfortable. Everything has been designed with quality in mind. Lots of attention to detail. Staff very helpful & friendly. We had Sri Lankan buffet for dinner when we arrived, which was delicious. The staff prepared us a packed breakfast to take on our Safari.

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming guesthouse in Sri Lanka - the hospitality was beyond exceptional, and every detail felt so thoughtfully curated. Loved the delicious evening buffet. What a treat to try so many different dishes all prepared by the family. We were travelling with a disabled gentleman in a wheelchair the staff were wonderful accommodating all our needs.

Amazing place to stay as like us you looking to back to the origine where nature and clean environment is the main attraction. The small luxury hotel is extremely well organized and the bungalows distributed on the property in beautifull way with gardens, trees and front lake! We booked a bungalow with pool and it was amazing, super large, comfortable bed, living room, bathroom extra size!!! The Staff was amazing from Marc that received us and take care all the time, Gaya, Jewewan and Chef Swadth just to mentions the more closer to us in these days but all were super kind. We had a fantastic dinner for San Valentine that will remain in our memories forever. They arrange for us the visit to the Park and follow us there. All was over any best expectations and is HIGLY reccomended place to go to have unforgettable moments!!

It was very beautiful, like a small heaven :). The bungallows were very nice, large, comfortable, clean, hidden in the "forest" with a balcony where you can watch some animals. It felt almost like being alone there. It was very unique experience. The pool was large, with nice view. The kids loved it very much. Food was good and stuff was helpful. It is good to use it as a starting point for the Wilpattu safari to see western part of the park and avoid the crowds at the main gate. The hotel can organize the safari. It is also nice to walk to the lagune. It was easy to reach by tuk tuk from Puttalam (we arrived by train).

I had an incredible stay at Tribe Wilpattu Eco Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park! The lodge is in a perfect location, just a short drive from the park entrance, making it super convenient for early morning safaris. The rooms were cozy, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring. The eco-friendly concept adds a unique charm to the experience. The food was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and flavorful dishes. Every meal felt like a home-cooked delight! What truly stood out was the amazing hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warmth and attentiveness made the stay even more special. One of the highlights of our trip was the private guided safari arranged by the lodge. Having a knowledgeable ranger accompany us made all the difference—we saw incredible wildlife, including leopards, elephants, and an abundance of bird species. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located, and well-managed eco-lodge near Wilpattu National Park, Tribe Wilpattu Eco Lodge is the place to be!     Full day safari was excellent. Saw everything. 5 leopards. Sloth bear. Elephants. Cross. Water Buffalo. And many more. If you have to choose I revommend afteroon from 4pm for best chance of seeing animals when it gets cooler and they become active for the evening .

    Wilpattu is an absolutely stunning place close to the reserve. That tents have everything that you need that is good shower is good. The barbecue in the evening is really nice and the surroundings stunning. The staff is super helpful and will go out of their way to accommodate you. We booked a Safari through the accommodation and the Driver and spotter were excellent !

    The place is magical Mr Omar has a love for nature and transmits this to his guests. The staff Mrs Lakshi and Mr Ikhmar were very helpful and kind. The food superb and even the wine! The grounds of the property are in the forest. The lagoon is beautiful and birdwatcher ‘s paradise. The best walk at the lotus pond with hundreds different species of birds.

    We loved our full day safari.

    We loved our full day safari. A full day is needed to experience what the park has to offer with wildlife. Our safari came with breakfast and lunch provided and was incredibly generous in servings. Our guide was knowledgeable and knew were track the allusive leopard. It was a truly memorable experience.

    Wilpattu is the largest nature reserve in Sri Lanka and encompasses a variety of habitats. It supports an amazing range of flora and fauna from butterflies to chameleons and birds at one end of the spectrum to leopard and elephants at the other. Unlike African parks where animals are easy to see, the dense forests make leopard sightings more difficult. That said we were lucky to see 3 leopards, countless elephants, birds and other animals. Wipattu is in remote part of the country and accomodation and food options are limited.

    Location to national park was 5mins.

    Location to national park was 5mins. Family very nice and very hospitable - made us a lovely traditional Sri lanklan evening meal . At breakfast gave us all bottled water - very nice touch . They can organise safari also . It was very reasonable - wish we had known before . As we had already booked with another company , had paid over the odds . Owner and his wife couldn’t do enough for us .
