It's a lively nice town on South Morocco. There ain't much arts and crafts to shop, like in the North. However, the beach is not overcrowded, and there is a restaurant with cold bear and fresh seafood nearby. Also, check for the oysters /grill fish, before arriving. At the village there are many local restaurants for ground meat, skewers, fish tajines, and the other usual dishes. Most of them are good and inexpensive.
For the ones coming for the water-sports, beware that the usual entry point for the lagoon is nearly 30 km away. That can be done in 20 min, easily. Also, for those planning to drive there, from the north, watch out for the police checks at the road, on the previous village. They extort the foreigners. Be sure that you stop when you see the stop / halt sign and only restart when they ask. You will have to stop twice, to avoid the ticket: one at the sign, and other near them. The Police controls near Dakhla, were normal.

Get some tea and Ilk for souvenirs from the Medina, and introduce yourself to kitesurfing if you have a week to spare, otherwise try oysters at Talha Mar and go on a desert circuit up to Imlili and back through Puerto Rico beach and the White Dune. Dakhla is phenomenal.

The town is not particularly interesting.
The town is not particularly interesting. Almost no remnants of its Spanish past remain. No beach in town. Lots of modern buildings. Surprisingly windy. A few good restaurants especially Villa Dakhla on the waterfront and a stone’s throw from Hotel Mansour where I stayed

Dakhla is a remote area where I did find hotel accommodations more expensive than other regions of Morocco. In order to visit the highlights of the region, one needs to take excisions or rent a car. My favorite times were exploring the remote beach and dune incredibly gorgeous areas. Ah and the fish cuisine was amazing especially at Tal Ha Mar!! And life was as though COVID had been left somewhere else!!
WiFi was very good.lots of film and sports channels on the TV. Good window view of the sea. Restaurants right next door and a few roads on the left from the place. Come out of the hotel and turn left. Cross over the road and a bit further down you will come to a corner shop selling drinks, cigarettes etc. Opposite that corner shop is a market road that has some good cheap food outlets and more corner shops. Tasty meat and sausages grilled at the top of the road from guys with vending cart.

Friendly and flexible staff, helped us above and beyond with PCR tests, transfers, local tours, late check-out etc. The bungalow was spacious and had a great view. The bar area had pool and table tennis, which we were delighted to use. The covered bar area protected us from constant winds. Kite instructor Yassine was great! On a less windy day, it was also fund to take the kayak across the lagoon to Dakhla Club.
I had a nice stay in this calm , comfort and clean place and i liked it so hard since it is my first time to Dakhla city . The vibes were really more likeable. I loved the staff especially a guy Mohamed who is such a sociable person that can't stop giving a helping hand in need .
In fact , Dakhla is more than a lovely place to visit especially in summertime. Hoping to be back again :)
Dakla kitesurf world was amazing. I would stay here every summer if my country did not call this occupied territory. The hotel was amazing and very close to the beach. Short drive to the town as well. Dahkla is amazing. Allot of wear European restaurants and west European named restaurants. Reccomend to all people visiting Dahkla.

Very nice and helpful people that make you feel comfortable and at home : you just leave your room, have something to eat and go kiting..
bungalows and rooms are very recent, clean, food is good and the beach is directly accessible from the hotel, a little piece of paradise !
Amazing personnel! They made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Nothing was too much to ask! Very nice and relaxed vibe around the hotel and nice, spacious and clean communal area and room. Amazing and fresh food in the restaurant with a good variety and portions.
Excellent clean and well organised hotel. Very smart and modern, near the shops and restaurants. Staff spoke good English and as I was leaving early morning gave me a packed lunch and juice.
Perfect location for windsports. Food was very good and great variety for every taste. Nice staff, very helpful and attentive. Best hotel in Dakhla and we definitely will come back
