A Maze of Souks and Exotic Aromas

Situated in the northwest African nation of Morocco, Marrakesh is a stunning labyrinth of colourful markets with traditional goods and exotic aromas. Wander around the vibrant alleyways and meet snake charmers, acrobats, and musicians.

The Medina is the historic district of the city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site hosting numerous monumental buildings. Fill your senses with smells, sounds and sights that you will never forget.

Djemaa El-Fna is one of the most popular squares in Africa and here you will find an array of regional spices, argan oil, leather products and traditional clothes. During the night there are big white tents offering delicious specialities such as tajine, couscous, brochette and soups - a taste sensation.

Famous for its hammam treatments, Marrakesh has a selection of places where you can relax in a traditional steam room or enjoy a soothing massage.

Marrakesh Menara Airport is one of the largest in Morocco and the airport’s new extension combines modern elements with the most ancient architectural traditions of the area. Booking.com offers a broad selection of Marrakesh hotels, apartments, and villas for every taste and budget.

Marrakech is culturally very different from what we usually experience in Europe (where I’m from), but overall, it’s a truly positive and enriching experience. The city has so many wonderful places that are worth visiting and taking the time to appreciate, especially for the incredible level of detail in their design and craftsmanship (Ben Youssef Madrasa, Le Jardin Secret, Jardin Majorelle, and an afternoon and dinner in the desert). Marrakech also offers amazing restaurants, with some real hidden gems where it feels like stepping into another world (Le Jardin or limoni). For those who enjoy trying authentic local cuisine, which we always make a point of doing when we travel, we highly recommend Dar L’Hssira — the food there was absolutely delicious and genuinely traditional. And one of the things we loved the most is that in almost any café, you can order freshly made fruit or vegetable juices, which are absolutely divine, flavorful, and perfect for the warm Marrakech days.

Chaotic- vibrant- noisy Medina.

Chaotic- vibrant- noisy Medina. You find artistic expression on every lane. The smells- the crowds are a part of the experience! The beauty is in the land - the people and the arts. Kindness abounds and of course little kids wanting to show you the way… for a price!

I was worried about pushy vendors and about having digestive problems. Both worries were unfounded. Sure people tried to sell me things, but gave up after a simple no thanks. I brushed my teeth with bottled water, but boldly ate salads with no adverse effects.

Marrakech, a city of fast paced, shop after shop, character after character, but absolutely amazing. The Souks are a maze of intrigue, although I recommend an e-sim for google maps. The food is amazing, superb value for money. One tip, get Moroccan Dirham before you go. Few stalls and restaurants take card, and cash is king in Marrakech. However, the ATMs dont always fulfill demand and you could be caught short. We ate at local family-owned restaurants, and they didn't disappoint. Marrakech is straightforward to get around, taxis are plentiful, just pre-agree the fee. For planned journeys such as airports, other privately booked excursions, I booked and paid on Booking.com and they were flawless, JonyTravel provided 3/4 of our trips and from the night before to the time of arrival, fantastic. We spent 2 nights at Dar Inacamp, an eco camp, a life time of memories on just 48 hours. The Riads are a great way to meet locals, stay within the shopping areas, and feel the streets away from the main Medina.

Loved staying in the Medina… we were in the centre of everything…. It was an assault on the senses, fantastic altogether… definitely needed more time as we didn’t have time to do a trip… I recommend people taking 5 days at least 🌺

Marrakech is an amazing city, full of fascinating sights, sounds and smells. It can be quite chaotic - with a very different culture from the English, so go prepared for bartering and all types of life and people. It is an experience for all your senses - exhausting and exhilarating!

Hotel is all inclusive, there are great variations of food and drinks. Hotel is practically new 5 years old. There is free shuttle bus to Medina. Its safe and good atmosphere for family. Personal at hotel is great and helpfull. I like Zakaria from reception very profeasional and Smiley who is amusing people is also great. Also my check out was at 12 , they offer me to stay until i need to go on flight. It was great experience. I will come back one day.

An excellent choice if you’re looking to experience the city while enjoying the comfort and convenience of an internationally styled hotel. The service is attentive and professional, and it’s a rare plus to be able to sip a cocktail by the pool — a welcome luxury in Morocco. Its location strikes a great balance: close enough to the old medina for easy exploring, but tucked away just enough to offer a more relaxed atmosphere.

simply amazing, staff are so friendly and accommodating, you feel like you are in a 5 stars luxury hotel, but actually this is more than that. I will always stay here every time I am back to Marrakech. Thank you 🙏
