Aisha served us the best breakfast in all Morocco! Right from our arrival, she and Daoud were very welcoming, kind, and generous. We had had a flat tire on our rental on the way there, and Daoud was instrumental in communicating with the company and arranging to get the tire replaced in town the next morning. He was a lifesaver! And Aisha gave us some wonderful electric water bottles to comfort our tired backs. We had lovely conversation evening and morning. She truly treated us like family.

Kasbah Ennakb is a gem of a place, where the welcome is as warm as the local tea. The staff here can’t do enough for you, making you feel right at home with their genuine hospitality. The vibe of the kasbah is a perfect mix of traditional charm and cozy comfort, making it hard to leave your room. But when you do, the local cuisine served up is a delight, with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that give you a true taste of the area. What’s more, Kasbah Ennakb is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding beauty, with the helpful staff always on hand to point you in the right direction for your next adventure. In short, it’s not just a stay but an experience that you’ll cherish.

Everything was good: friendly staff, luxurious room, good food at a reasonable price, and great view. The staff was also very helpful in accomodating alternative food requests we had.

A peaceful and charming place in the heart of Nkob, a traditional Berber Town. The hotel has a unique local feel and is very relaxing. As a couple, we were warmly welcomed by our host Mimoun with true Berber hospitality. He kindly took us on a walk to the palm grove, a lovely personal touch that made our stay even more special. We had a quiet night and enjoyed a delicious traditional breakfast. A wonderful stay we’d gladly come back again.

One of the best stays we had in Morocco! Brahim was the perfect host, helpful before, during and after our stay at his place. The tajin was delicious, and he also gave us the best tea we had. He also explained a lot of interesting stuff about the Berebers and the hikking tours he aorganizes. Brahim, ojalá vernos otra vez! Big hug from Ari and me.

Buildings are only 3 years old and very charming with modern facilities. Run by family members, where I was in very good hands of Khalid, who did all to make it a pleasent stay.

Just a few minutes away from Nkob, Auberge Bassou is like a peaceful oasis. Simple but tastefully decorated rooms around a lovely, green courtyard with lots of birds. Ibrahim and his sister running the place understand exactly their guests’ needs. There is great care in everything they do, from meals (excellent dinner, or a quick-fix meal in the afternoon) to an amazing tour in the Jebel Saghro. When we mentioned, that the next day while crossing the mountain towards Todra gorge, we were planning to do a few hours hike (by the way, the road to the north from Nkob towards Boumalna and Tinghir hardly shows up on Google maps but is in excellent condition), Ibrahim assured us that it was a great idea, told us about the tour he does for groups, usually 3 to 5 people, but not pushing us, nor trying to sell us anything. Still, we took up his offer and changed our schedule, and it became the absolute highlight of our ten days in Morocco. The central section of the Jebel Saghro is an amazing area, and having Ibrahim as our guide all day made it even more memorable (not to mention making it accessible without doing a 4-5 day hike which wasn’t an option for us). Spending an hour and a half with an Amazigh family, getting at least a hint of how they live out and beyond, without getting a ‘show’ for the tourists, was truly beyond our expectations (it took just 20 mins for my daughter and the three young girls of the family to become best friends even if without a common language). If you make it as far as Nkob, don’t miss this place.

We could not have been happier with Mohammed, he picked us up and dropped us off at the bus on time, he was very attentive to our needs throughout the 3 days excursion. he answered our questions and explained many things to us to help us better understand and appreciate our treking experience / environment. His riad was quiet and confortable, and the meals both there and during the trek were delicious. We would not hesitate to recommend him as a host and guide. Five stars to him.
