the place was well developed, weather was excellent, food and people were great. We hired a car to get around so not sure how good the taxis or public transport was. Payments and hotel facilities could better accommodate disabled guests. Some really excellent hiking areas.
Tanger is an amazing spot! The location is perfect, right by the marina, and it really comes alive at night. There are so many nice restaurants to choose from, offering everything from fresh seafood to local delicacies. I loved strolling along the waterfront, taking in the beautiful views while soaking up the lively atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner or a fun night out, Tanger has it all, and I can't wait to go back!
Tangier is not a city but a chemical substance. A powder you inhale, hoping the walls will dissolve and reveal the skeleton of the world. What you’re looking for here is not exoticism but something closer to permission. Permission to stop being yourself. The intoxication is in the very air of the Medina, thick as syrup. It works slowly: first you notice that the shadows have become denser than the objects casting them. Then you realize the merchants’ voices aren’t coming from outside but are sounding right inside your skull. And then comes silence. Not the absence of sound, but its complete opposite — the resonant presence of every conversation ever carried within these walls. You think you came to observe? No. You’ve become an ingredient. The city slowly digests your will, your familiar categories, your hurry. And it leaves only one thing — an animal curiosity for the next turn of the street, behind which there may be anything. Or nothing. That is the essential effect.
Beautiful city , they worked on infrastructure and road a lot. The people are very nice , polite and helpful. They not annoying like Marrakesh , Fez and Egypt. If the mayor investing on cosmetic thing and cleaning, it would be better than south of France and Spain.
Nice people, huge city, safe and cosmopolitan. We feel a lot of european influeces already in Tangier and the city was clean and safe to wlak around. Favourite places were the medina and the promenade. Walk around, meet locals, find markets and enjoy!
Tangier is a perfect mix of old world charm and new. The old city is spectacular - wandering through its narrow lanes and enjoying Moroccan mint tea and the views. Just outside of the city, the corniche is beautiful to stroll on and the marina area offers a wide variety of night clubs. Lots of great food options. Will go back again to experience this exotic city
Old Medina, Tangier
Great location in the heart of the old Medina. Guest house is tastefully decorated throughout. Bedroom on second floor was light, airy and comfortable and bathroom had plenty of room. Lovely views from the roof. Staff keen to help in every respect. The manager, Ghislane, was delightful and explained how they had kept the centuries-old tiles as part of their renovation a year ago. It was good to learn that I was staying in a family-owned/run establishment. I am so glad I chose this Riad over a four-star touristy hotel!
Marshan, Tangier
The hotel was very comfortable, clean and the decor was very good. The hotel has only 10 rooms, so you you feel like you are a special guest rather than just a number. The staff were very helpful, in particular, Juliette and Valerie. The location was close to the Tangier Medina, which allowed you to explore the Medina without the hassle of getting a taxi to and from the Medina and Casbah. The hotel restaurant food was also very good. The outside garden and pool was a good setting to have a drink and enjoy the ambience.
Old Medina, Tangier
Can't wait to return to Saba's House! The staff treated us like royalty and family at the same time. it's in a perfect location in the middle of the medina yet the hotel (especially the rooftop) was as peaceful as could be. we were given perfect recommendations for dinners, shopping and hammam, which ended up being the highlights of our trip. We can't wait for our next visit to Tangier, and there is no better place to feel welcome that at Saba's house. A full TEN experience! Thank you!
Old Medina, Tangier
The hotel is right in the middle of the medina which we loved. There are restaurants near by and you can easily walk to the ferry. The room is basic but quiet and comfortable. What was really special about the hotel was the host, Larbi. He offered to be our guide and toured us around Tangier for an entire day, he was really knowledgeable and took us to places we wouldn't have know about otherwise. We really enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again. Thank you Larbi!!
Old Medina, Tangier
I like everything about this property, it’s very close to medina, the staff is always friendly and helpful for everything, they speak all languages to provide the best service to all the customers, they even organise a private tour for us to see and visit all the main attractions in Tangier area, the price it’s not so expensive compèred to the quality of the staying! I high recommend this hotel. A big massive hello to (Yasmenne)? the guy who works at the reception, very friendly!
Old Medina, Tangier
Located in the medina near the Hotel Continental, all parts of the medina were easily accessible by foot, as was the waterfront. Our room off the terrace was light and airy (but up many stairs). Staff was friendly and especially the young woman who provided our daily breakfasts which were fresh and generous. The roof top has a table to sit and great views over the port to the ocean (and Spain). We found Riad TinJaa to be clean and inviting.
Vintage, atmospheric hotel perfectly located overlooking Tangier harbor at the edge of the Medina in a very lively neighborhood of shops, restaurants and cafes. Views from my balcony were spectacular, sights in the Medina were a short stroll away, and there was a beautiful pool in the landscaped garden. Rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and charming. WiFi was strong in the room and at the pool. The hotel offers great value.
Old Medina, Tangier
All the staff was fantastic. The breakfast wonderful. They ordered a 5am taxi and offered to have coffee and a take away breakfast arranged on my departure. Assam and Ahommed were the highlight of Morocco. The roof was a great spot to kick back and watch my clothes dry. Bring coins to tip kids who bring you home when you get lost in the Medina Walk up to the haha overlook to enjoy the sunset with the locals.
Tangier
I’m so happy to have stayed at Riad Qasr El Medina as a first time visitor to Tangier. The Riad is absolutely beautiful and well located, offering easy access from the ferry and a short walk to the Kasbah and its beautiful views. The great service from the owner, Said and his family makes it an easy five- star review for me. I highly recommend this new Riad in Tangier.
Old Medina, Tangier
Really lovely, if quirky, "bijou" hotel in old building(s) located right in the Kasbah area of the old Medina, so all main attractions are within a short walk. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant if you prefer to dine in the hotel (we did!!). Perfect for a short visit to see the old town of Tangier.
Old Medina, Tangier
It is in the Medina which is always fun. The place itself has a restaurant inside and access to a kitchen. My husband forgot something in the hotel and already left morocco. Hamza who works here went above and beyond to help us locate this item and even with mailing it back. Great service here and definitely recommend
Tangier
We were in Morocco for two weeks on a family trip, we traveled to several cities and had different accommodations, this one was our favorite! Location is perfect to the beach and to the medina, view is unbeatable, plenty of space to chill and enjoy. The only regret we have is staying for only one night!!!
Old Medina, Tangier
When I arrived we were welcomed with a smile and kindness. The staff are very friendly and professional. Delicious breakfasts. Wednesday night Cous Cous, a real taste of Morocco. The feeling was being in a home not a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.
Old Medina, Tangier
Great first introduction to Morocco. Best location to stay in Tanger, in the amazing medina. One advice: the medina is a maze indeed, so pay attention to the route you take when you leave the hostel, or it could be an adventure to find your way back :)
Grand old hotel with lots of history. You can ask to see Matisse’s room (if unoccupied) which has been preserved largely as it was. Good terrace overlooking old Tangier. Short walk to the medina.
The hotel is on 2nd floor and the Ferry check-in facilities for the ferry Tangier Med-Algeciras is on 1st floor. The hotel restaurant serves good quality Morrocan and Western food.
Great hotel - made us very welcome and feel safe, too! The transfer was great from the airport and handy restaurant too. The breakfast was the best we had in Morocco!
