Before arrival Valerie the owner assisted us with all our transfers ensuring everything ran smoothly. Upon arrival our bags were carried up for us and we were greeted with warm smiles and deliciously cold welcome drinks. Treated like rock stars. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our bed was beautifully decorated with flowers and a heart shaped towel for our honeymoon. There were even hot showers (not that you need them) but after a week of cold showers it was very pleasant. The food was amazing and overall very good value for money. The Happy Komba team went above and beyond for us. I see why Valerie named it Happy Komba lodge as the staff are all very happy with big smiles always. We will definitely be back.

Everything was just super-perfect. This is the right hideaway for couples to unwind, relax and enjoy the quiet island life and beauty of the coastline, above and underwater! ... and all this while still being able to connect to the outside world (great wifi ;-) ). Rooms are wonderfull, views are great (sunsets), there is a housereef in front, turtles around. Food is great and the chef is always ready to tend to your suggestions. Caipirinhas in the pool, overlooking the sea... The diveshop is well equipped and the dive guides are super-friendly and professional.

We have the most fabulous stay at the lodge, which we will not forget. Even before we arrived, the lodge manager was extremely helpful arranging our transfer from Nosy Be. We were greeted by the staff with a fresh coconut and a snorkel kit. We enjoyed our afternoon snorkelling and we even saw a green turtle right in front of the lodge. The room was comfortable and again, the manager was extremely accommodating to all of our requests and arranged our activities. The food was fresh and delicious! There’s not a bad comment I can say about this stay! I am already dreaming of coming back! Thank you for having us!

Despite confirmation # they couldn’t find the reservation from Booking.com. Did manage to sort it out and they agreed to match the reserved price. Clean spacious room with 2 beds. Fan and mosquito nets, generator turned off at 2am though so got a little warm.

Silvien, the owner, is super friendly and helpful. Claire (the in-house chef) is absolutely lovely, and makes excellent breakfast and dinner. Her husband, Fidelys, is the boatman, and can do all boat transfers and fishing excursions. The small self-catering kitchen is a great addition (if available when booking 2 or more rooms, without other guests). The location is really good, nice and secluded, but close to the village and easy access for transfers/excursion. Close to the lemur park (in the village), which is a MUST. Beds were nice and big, with big canopy mosquito nets. All in all 10/10.

I can't even describe the feelings and memories that I have now after the stay in Villa King Kombo and on Nosy Kombo itself. The villa is just as you imagine a villa somewhere on an exotic island. Absolutely clean, cozy Malagasy design. Huge and comfortable rooms and I just absolutely loved the concept that during the day you can open all of the windows and feel like you are outside. But at night you can close everything completely. The view from the lounge zone is just to die for. The Villa is a 10 minute walk from the village where you'll find all the restaurants. The coral reef is just in front of the villa and you can easily swim there in the morning when the tide is low. But the most important thing apart from all of that is Dominic who is in charge of everything in the villa and Steven - the owner. They made me feel like an absolute special guest. Not in every 5 star hotel you get the same care of the customer. Steven and Dominic arranged for me a trip to Nosy Tenikely and Nosy Fali. Both of those trips were absolutely amazing. Dominic was there to organize and help me with literally everything I was planning to do. Even before I'd decided anything Dominic already had an answer and the best suggestions. And Steven was on line with me 24/7. Being the best owner of a hotel I met in my entire life. And Dominic being the best manager! I'm 1000% coming back to Villa King Kombo. The thing that happened to me the next morning I flew to Tana is when I woke up I thought "God. Why not on Villa King Kombo". And even now I'm writing this review from Delhi, India it feels like I'm literally there right now. Absolutely magical experience and magical place. Thank you Steven and Dominic for everything! There is only one thing. You have to get used to screaming lemurs in the evening. Because there is a huge lemur family that comes to the tree next to the Villa. But once you get used to it - you'll miss that sound.
