The view, beautiful! Location: quiet, perfect after a day long sightseeing in the more busy parts of the city. It only takes max 10 minutes by taxi and not more than 4 euros to get to the city center&old bazaar. Breakfast was very decent, fresh and nice. Coffee, which was part of your stay at any given time (huge plus for me) was proper, nice coffee (and not dark water from general coffeemachines like most breakfast facilities at most hotels, including 5-star hotels). The people working there were super nice. The room and other facilities very clean and I loved the private balcony with the amazing view!

There is much to be desired regarding the maintenance and cleanliness of the city. The unique shopping areas, built during the Yugoslavian period are not fully utilized and would be an attractive place if renovated and used properly.

The city itself requires max a day, then you have seen everything, all the museums, statues etc. The city is generally dirty, they need to be better to clean the city up from trash and stray cats and dogs.

The hotel Senegalia was wonderful.

The hotel Senegalia was wonderful. The two restaurants were excellent especially the Old City House restaurant.hotel central fir all sights,museums. Only needed one full say to sightsee as everything was close by Had a day planned fir Ohrid day trip. Fab. Place World Heritage site and pearl jewellery paradise. Pearls made locally from fish scales from the 2-3 million year old lake.

This is a city one must visit at least once in a lifetime.

This is a city one must visit at least once in a lifetime. It immediately becomes clear how immense the arrogance — and at times sheer foolishness — of the newly empowered national patriots can be. The insane amounts of money poured into unbelievably tasteless statues and decorations imitating ancient buildings could have been spent on developing the country’s infrastructure — for an economy to which the seven hundred million euros wasted on this eclectic extravaganza were an unbearable burden. The monstrous decay and filth surrounding this feast of bad taste stand as undeniable proof of it.

A lovely place to visit with the opportunity of lots of museums and places to go. The new and old parts of the city are interesting with lots of attractions. Further afield one can book tours for some of the scenic parts of the country such as Mavrovo National Park which was quite amazing to see in the Autumn with its patchwork of Autumn colours. Most of my tours I booked with https://macdventures.com/ Vojislav Gushevski is incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of Macedonian life and will also take to places that are little known and a bit different Such as visiting the Roma community in Skopje.

Amazing small family hotel located in the center of Skopje, nearby some of the best local restaurants and bars. The room was clean, comfortable and with good equipment. What I want to recommend is the breakfast, which was delicious and plentiful (buffet style) and is served in the garden for only 5 euros.
