We spent one night here at the end of our 2 week vacation which was a good choice. We arrived early from a flight (9am) in low season which we communicated via the app and they had a room ready and let us check in. Instructions and a code were supplied via the app prior to arrival. Not only that, they let us go for the free breakfast after we checked in (which had an appetizer plate and a full menu - eggs Benedict, English breakfast etc). The guy checking us in was very friendly and even offered to get us a boxed breakfast we could take the next morning at our 5am departure. We walked to the nearby Neolithic ruins (30mins) and to the blue hole look out (10mins) but there are buses and the bolt/ubers pick you up if you want. We also spent time in the pool area, which is a small pool but has some fun jets to play with - there’s also a small sauna with Bluetooth and work out machines. There are a few restaurants nearby and in the hotel, most are on the more expensive side (we had a lobster pasta for 30 euro, but you could find a burger for 10 euros if you want) The hotel is small (11 rooms) but very modern and seemingly the only one in this small part of the island and was a great way to end our vacation.

It’s beautiful absolutely lovely, the man who ones it is very nice and gave us a tour and brief history of the building. He couldn’t do enough for you, supermarkets very close 2 minutes away. Washing clothes facilities perfect and a lovely dining room nice to have the family room

Wonderful Stay at Kappella Boutique in Malta Kappella Boutique is located in a quiet and charming area, nestled in beautiful narrow historic streets – the perfect place to relax and unwind. The surroundings are peaceful, yet the infrastructure is excellent: the bus stop is just a few minutes away, and there are plenty of shops nearby for all your needs. The famous Blue Grotto is only about 5–7 minutes away by bus, and the trip is absolutely worth it! Our host, Klint, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. He went out of his way to accommodate all our wishes and created a lovely holiday spot where both adults and children can feel right at home. Thank you, Klint, for your warm hospitality and for making our stay so enjoyable!

Zurrieq is a quiet, traditional village.

Zurrieq is a quiet, traditional village. It has all the basics, e.g. supermarket, green grocers, butchers, pharmacy, 24/7 corner store and even an electrical appliances store which came in handy when I forgot my phone charger. It has a few take aways for pizza, burgers, etc, Kaian is excellent, and one restaurant which we did not try because there was a problem with the kitchen when we were there. It's a great base for exploring Malta as long as you enjoy peace and quiet. Hardly any tourists know it exists, but on the other hand you won't find bars, shops and excitement here. Parking is on street and you can find a space if you drive around 2-3 roads. Be careful as some of the streets are very very narrow and Google maps/Waze may send you that way - sticking to the main roads is faster and safer. I suspect the exception is the week of the village fiesta, which we didn't experience, but from talking to the locals, is a huge event.

Great for a short stay plenty of walking routes for moderate walkers The Blue Grotto and Unesco site worth a visit Buses and taxis available. The Aalto Resturant was first class suggest booking so not to be disappoint.
