All the meals were healthy with lots of choice and well cooked and presented. The staff were amazing, welcoming, charming and with lots of smiles and attention. We were thoroughly spoilt. It was just what we needed, peaceful and very well run. The beach is amazing, a well kept secret, a curved bay with shallow clean sand, none of the dreaded prickly anemones and with breakers gently rolling in and providing safe swimming for everyone. The spa was good. The shuttle service to the golf course worked well and we played golf 4 times on the long and interesting course. We will return as soon as we can. We enjoyed the various entertainments during dinner, especially the 3 piece band with sax, guitar and string bass.

It is charmingly old fashioned with a beautiful garden and centre piece swimming pool. Everything in the room worked, and the staff couldn't have been more efficient nor helpful.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Celine picked me up from the airport, and she was amazing from Day 1. I stayed for 9 nights, and would gladly have stayed more. The facilities were all I needed - everything in the kitchen that you need, including fresh coffee every morning. Free water from the water cooler. Fast wifi. Pool was amazing. The location is great, and only a few minutes walk from the nearest shops, restaurants and the beach. Celine and Christoff were always happy and willing to help. Will gladly come back any time. Thank you Celine and Mr Christoff

I could not have wished for better hosts. Nothing was too much for them both. They have a lovely family and work very hard keeping the guests looked after. They went out of their way to do a little shopping for us before we arrived for essentials etc. Tea - Coffee Milk and snacks etc. The balcony area was really cosy and the gardens below well maintained with sub-tropical plants etc. Had a wonderful stay and a big thank-you to the family x

Wonderful and hospitable host! Very welcoming, kind, and welcoming! Always available – especially for urgent matters. The apartment is wonderful! Nice beach , lots of trips available . You really need a car or book trips if your staying any length of time as nothing much else to do . No nightlife during the week only Friday and Saturday otherwise everywhere shuts at 10pm

Lovely resort. Great beach. Gets very crowded at weekends. The beach is not quite as good as some of the beaches in the north, but it is still beautiful. Quite upseting to see the amount of litter left on the beach and traffic around the resort was sometimes an issue. But the location is great and the western sunsets are stunning! Our favourire restaurant was Mosaic, serving typical Mauritian food alongside a standard menu with burgers, pizzas and pasta with friendly service from Daniel and team. Casela Safari Park nearby is a good day out, and a day trip to the east to visit Iles aux Cerfs was a highlight of our stay.

The beach outside Sands and the other hotels are beautiful, unspoilt white sands, however the public beach part further north is busier with people and cars on the road, and lots of fast food vans, cheap bars etc.

Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius,...

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

We liked our chosen accommodation, we had a good view of the beach from our balcony, the staff were great and we want to go back to sample lunch at the Creole Shack! The beach was lovely and safe for swimming and there was a good variety of eateries from beach stalls to high end restaurants and all manner of cuisines. Everything is in walking distance and four km in land there is a very large mall being built and a new state of the art hospital. We will definitely be going back.

We liked the idea of visiting Mauritius and were very keen to stay at the Anelia, but unfortunately the Mauritian authorities prevented our cruise ship from docking for two days and instead of staying at the Anelia we spent two days viewing Mauritius from off-shore. To be fare the Hotel Manager would have allowed us to slip our reservation, but the return flights could not be moved. Therefore we missed out on the opportunity of staying at the Anelia, although it looked to be a very attractive location.

Excellent Location and the property just on the beach. Be it the bed or furniture and utensils in kitchen, each and everything were meticulously taken care of. I must call out the super friendly approach and responsiveness of staff specifically the Property Manager Jeremy and house caretaker Prema. I strongly recommend Cap Ouest by Horizon Holidays to anyone traveling to Flic en Flac beach in Mauritius.

Huge apartment set in a quiet street, just minutes away from the beach. Everything was well thought off, adapters for the socket, great shower pressure and above all the washing machine. We could wash everything after spending a week in Mauritius. Owner was super friendly and welcoming.

The apartment was very beautiful and spacious. It was bright and pleasantly furnished and had everything one might need. I especially loved the balcony — it really won us over. The location was also excellent, and I think I had the best sleep of my entire stay in Mauritius
