I like everything the location, room, ambiance, cleanliness, complimentary stuff. Above all Matt (Manager/owner) and Yash, they both were extremely helpful. Dropped us couple of times to our destinations. Guided us and provided valuable feedback for our queries. Bala Bala.... I think 9.3 rating is underestimated rating, it should be somewhere 9.8 or may say 10 as I also had the experience of number of 5 star hotels of different locations.

Beautifully landscaped surroundings, plenty of space with sun loungers, choice of water activities mostly without waiting, spacious restaurants and bars, excellent food. There was a choice of over 10 hot dishes daily from all over the world, plus a variety of pasta and pizzas, a large selection of vegetable salads, dressings, desserts, and fresh fruit. The helpful bar staff offered great drinks on request, and a smiling Michael always made our evening cocktails more enjoyable. The hotel was clean, the room was meticulously cleaned by Tazeem who surprised us with towel animals.

The property was small - only 22 rooms. The rooms were spacious, well maintained and clean. The staff were extremely nice and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasure. Le Skippers restaurant, on the property served great breakfast. We dined there several times and the meals were very good. They also made excellent cocktails which were perfect to have while watching the sunset over the ocean.

On one of the most beautiful beaches this little hotel is providing everything you need to have a great vacation.Rooms are big and comfortable. Clean and well organized place. Coffee here is so good and the breakfast is outstanding. Kanu and glass bottom boot trip to the reef 🪸 is offered for free. Here you can snorkel and see the underwater world. They are really Kids friendly and offer proper meals on the menu for kids. We extended our stay...that's how great it is here.

An ideal spot away from the bustle of Grand Baie.

An ideal spot away from the bustle of Grand Baie. Perfect for couples. There is a large public beach a few minutes walk away which has all the local facilities. Beach shacks selling local food and fresh fruit juices. The local people were all very friendly and the taxi rank nearby was ideal for planning trips.

We have been coming to Pointe aux Cannoniers for many years...

We have been coming to Pointe aux Cannoniers for many years and each time it gets even better. A few more cafes and restaurants seem to pop up each time we visit , which is a welcome surprise . The local bus service is excellent during the day , as it takes you either to Grand Baie in one direction in about 10 minutes ( busier , more shops , a big supermarket called Super-U where we stock up on food and drink ) , or Mon Choisy beach or Trou aux Biches in the other direction . We feel Pointe aux Cannoniers is a lot quieter than Grand Baie which suits us better .

Ideal location on the north west a stone throw away from the vibe Gran Bay. However no need to go anywhere as the hotel provides great entertainment every night. The beaches are small but extremely well placed to allow even a full guest complement enough privacy. But the best thing is the food at the buffet....absolutely top class every evening with a different but exciting theme attached. Rooms are very good with aircon going night and day to make this a haven of escape from the sniffling February heat. All in all...well done Cannonier.

"Our stay at Maison Du Nord was amazing! The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely garden and very spacious, clean rooms. The staff was exceptionally kind and always ready to help. We arranged all our island excursions and airport transfer through the hotel, which made everything so convenient. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of options. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel!"
