From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always attentive and genuinely kind. The resort itself is stunning, with breathtaking views that instantly put us in vacation mode. The vibe was so serene and relaxing, yet vibrant at the same time. Whether lounging by the pristine pool or simply soaking in the beautiful surroundings, every moment felt like paradise. The food was another highlight—every meal was a treat, with delicious flavours and a variety of options to choose from. Dining with such a spectacular view made the experience even more special. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations, and we truly had the most wonderful time. This is a family owned business with a personal touch. The owners clearly aspire to make one's stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Friendliness and good service were consistent throughout our stay. I recommend to every one Casa Frangipani. Kerstin and her husband are very welcoming. We stayed only two night, but we couldn’t ask for more! The apartment is clean and all what you need. They are so kind that they suggest you what to visit and where to eat and for sure they help you in anything you need! Just awesome experience

From arrival to stay until departure, all the support and suggestions. I liked everything. It is a place to make your base to explore the eastern part of the island. Andrea is an amazing host, he is super kind and helpful. He will get you the best deals, best suggestions, and best tips to explore the island. The house is super clean, pool is amazing. The area is peaceful. It is a perfect spot to rest, relax, and if you want adventures--just ask Andrea and he will organise it :) I'd love to come back and stay again at his property. It is a nice place for a solo travellers to a family of four to a couple. Just read the past reviews and give it a try, you'll experience it yourself. Grazie mille, Andrea for all your tips and organisation. I highly recommend Andrea's place.

it's a fantastic base to explore the island. The host is warm and friendly, with lots of useful knowledge about the area. In short, it's a home from home - if your home is spotless, beautifully decorated, within short distance to beautiful beach. Would heartily recommend.

The communication before arrival and the warm welcome from the host Ashok were excellent. The apartment is spacious, clean and tidy. Everything you would expect from a rented apartment is provided including a fully equipped kitchen; even more: fruit on the table, cold water and beer in the fridge, as well as a nespresso machine and capsules.     La Koquillishe is located between two excellent restaurants : La Case a Poisson and Tino's which have incredible food for reasonable prices. Not to be missed. Also, La Koquillishe has a taxi service which is extremely efficient and correctly priced. Ask for Patrick.

    A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

    The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other islands. I recommend a visit to Ile aux Cerf, you can relax or do some sport e.g waterski, swimming. By boat to GRSE Waterfall. Take a BBQ lunch to one of the other island there.

    It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life.

    It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life. A few minutes bus ride is the unspoilt beach at Palmar. It is the best beach we have seen on the island. The reef is close to shore and the water is crystal clear.

    Second time i stayed at la koquillishe and it was perfect again. i took a trip with the catamaran to ile aux cerfs which was organised by the hotel aswell, even tho i was late, it was still possible to make it to the trip, thank you :) this time, i was in a little smaller room but still it was clean, provided enough space for me and i felt really comfortable. nice area around with restaurants, bars, shops and a massage salon and the beach of course. huge plus is the staff, absolutely charming and friendly people Thank you so much :)

    • Food was delicious, lots of choices available at the buffet. • Hotel staffs are nice, friendly and helpful. • There is a free boat shuttle to Île aux cerfs everyday. • We had the villa, the privacy is what we wanted and it was what we got! Private pool with a quiet relaxing area. • Room was clean and well maintained by our housekeeping lady (Kamini), who does really cute towel folding :)
