United KingdomEverything. Excellent speed boat trip and welcome. Our induction with Shifu was really informative and she looked after us our whole stay. The food is absolutely delicious, the chefs cook to an incredibly high standard. The Maldivian cooking class exceeded our expectations too. The room was exceptionally clean. Well stocked every day. We saw a pod of dolphins, manta ray, sharks and amazing fish from our sun beds at the back of the resort. The snorkelling is mind blowing you are right on a reef. The sunset cruise was good and the snorkelling tour. The rituals bought calm in this very ugly world at the moment.

United StatesI very seldom write reviews, but I am beyond IMPRESSED with this resort! The food was excellent from taste to presentation! The rooms and views were both breathtaking! Our daughters and granddaughter had the over the water villa with private pool. My husband and I had the over the water honeymoon suite celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Our children coordinated with the staff to perform an unforgettable vow renewal. The activities were amazing! We attempted to book for another visit before this visit was even complete. I can think of nothing I would change about this resort. Zikko, our private butler for the honeymoon suite was very attentive, as was the entire staff. Everyone was so very accommodating always making sure my family and I had what we needed. The family and I are still in awe of the time spent there!

Perfect location because it is close to the Male airport. Transport with speed boat is possible and there is no need for an expensive water plane. Nice small islands. A great place to relax. Starting from meeting at the airport and ending with departure. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Room service was at the highest level. VARU is nicely located, not far from Male, therefore, the boat ride is only 40 minutes and it is a comfortable ride. The place is nice with all the atoll characteristics, clear water, sandy beaches, Coral close by, sand banks close by, not big but not small either. The food was great, experienced Maldives cuisine as well as international food. Top notch service while under the VARU Resort stay and transportation between boat transfers and boat activities. Room service was twice a day to tidy up room, re-supply mini bar and get new towels. Distance within resort are reasonable and getting used to location of restaurants, activity centers, reception and spa are within knowledge after a couple of days. Included activities are restricted to good weather, therefore, schedule as soon as possible to give yourself enough time to reschedule if needed. Good variety of motor activities available but at additional cost….and good weather. Great bar with a wide variety of drinks nonalcoholic or with alcohol from 10:00am to 1:00am (it’s 5:00pm somewhere). Good internet reception (if needed).
