The spacious room was perfect for families, especially with child-friendly touches that showed genuine care and detail. Our children’s favorite spot was the pool, while the beach right at our doorstep offered crystal-clear waters and sea life that made snorkeling a joy for all of us. Brother Sam is not just a host — he is a visionary. His sincerity, humility, and passion for developing Ukulhas in an eco-friendly way deeply inspired us. Listening to his journey of building Aria Beach and his dedication to uplifting the local community reminded us that barakah comes when we serve others with purpose. May Allah bless his efforts and those who work with him. Stories like this deserve to be shared with the world. We left Ukulhas with full hearts, and inshaAllah, we look forward to returning again soon.

Our stay at Tropico Villa was awesome! Surrounded by lush greenery plants, this hotel felt like a hidden paradise. The villa was beautifully designed, the room is spacious and clean. The equipments are new. Shimbe was warm, attentive, and talkative. We went on a trip, which was amazing. We enjoyed breakfast on the private yard.

Since they didn't provide the room I booked, they offered us dinner on the beach and swimming with manta rays. It was the best deal ever! :) We did even check in earlier and check out later, which was very useful. The staff was very nice.

Everything was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and communicative while not too pushy. We had plenty of space, wonderful outside table with a fan, super close to the beach. Breakfasts were massive and varied. The quality of the room is great, super comfortable beds, perfect bathroom. Honestly, couldn't recommend this place more!

The best place we could stay in Ukulhas! Great location, very close to the quiet side of the bikini beach and surrounded by multiple restaurants. The guest house has a very nice garden, where you have breakfast, where you can dry your stuff and also relax. There is good wifi everywhere. Room was big, clean and had everything we needed. Fan and AC worked great, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a bit smaller but clean and had hot water. We got drinking water and fresh towels, also beach towels changed every day. We also arranged snorkling gear there. Abdulla and Raj are doing an amazing job. They are very polite and they try to help you with everything you need. They arranged the speedboat for us and picked us from the harbour. Breakfast has 7 different options and you choose the evening before. They also have a menu for lunch and dinner, we had great fish for dinner at their restaurant. Definitely a must place to stay at when in Ukulhas.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island. Dangerous rip currents near the island have caused multiple drownings which continue to go unaddressed. The food across the island is inedible and prepared by untrained staff. The island is littered with trash and by no means lives up to its claim of an “eco-conscious environment”

Ukulhas has a wonderful house reef next to Bikini beach...

Ukulhas has a wonderful house reef next to Bikini beach which is beautiful and plenty of places to sit in the beach in the sun or shade all day. Great access to snorkeling and other water excursions. Other than that, not much to the island. Walked around the whole island and really sad to see how unkept the public areas are. Other than bikini beach and house reef, not much to do.

It’s a nice local island.

It’s a nice local island. It’s clearly very popular, as there are at least four new hotels currently under construction. In the future, the place may lose its local atmosphere and become very touristy. The grocery shops offer only a limited selection of goods, not like what we’re used to in Europe.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

Local island only 80 minutes with speed boat from Male and you can experience local life but also get the relaxed beach feeling. The food was not so expensive, we tried a Thai Restaurant nearby and it was delicious. In Ukulhas you can get beautiful beach with corals and amazing sea life. Excursions was way cheaper than in the resort offer. We had private excursion for manta ray, nurse shark feeding, and coral garden with Ocean Excursions Ukulhas with a very good deal price.

Only the kitchen works perfectly in the hotel, and the cook and waiters sincerely try to help and it is important for them that you leave well-fed and satisfied! The food is always delicious and fresh, yes it is monotonous, but this is the Maldives, so we fully understand.

We loved the breakfast, the location and how cute the rooms were, however, between both rooms, there was a big difference. The beach right in front of the place is stunning and, overall Ukhulas is a must-visit island in Maldives.
