Well to start the location was incredible. We had everything we needed and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. It was very clean and well decorated.

Cabañas Rancho Viejo are in an idyllic location. We truly enjoyed staying in the middle of the mountains and they also have a wonderful pointview overlooking the breathtaking sunsets. The cabin we stayed in was very comfy and functional, and had a beautiful balcony where we enjoyed meals and coffee overlooking the trees and mountains. Their café offered very good options for breakfast and lunch, and all the restaurants in the town would deliver to our cabin door. Cabañas Rancho Viejo is about a 30-min walk away from San José via a road but there are several motorised taxis that will take you there and back for an inexpensive fare. They also offer daily activities to their guests (we didn't have enough time to take part in them but they looked fun!).
