It was a perfect experience, like arriving to your grandma’s place. Chalet is exceptionally cosy with a fireplace. The hosts even put up a xmas tree :) and prepared the wood for the fireplace. Some cutlery was missing as we were amongst the first guests but hosts quickly and kindly took care of everything. Perfect base to do the hike through Pueblos Mancomunados. Road to the village was fine.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. Our host was incredibly helpful with arranging pickup from airport, even helping with a punctured wheelchair tyre. The property is very safe and peaceful, the rooms are really comfortable and clean, nicely decorated with really good bathroom facilities. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the highlight was of course learning about traditional weaving and natural dyes. Location is great, nice and quiet but can catch a moto taxi into the main village very easily from right outside.

Such great value in a beautiful town. After staying in shared rooms in hostels this private room with huge bed and heaps of space felt so luxurious. I loved staying here and didn’t want to leave. Andy was very helpful and responsive to messages. The bathrooms were clean and functional and the shower was very hot. The wifi worked great. Everything is in walking distance. All in all a beautiful place to stay!

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Cosijo! We really enjoyed this place and it was unique experience to live in such a small community for three days. We will never forget it! Yes the pool and rooms and food was great but we enjoyed the longer time spent here (We originally only booked for one night). After the first night we felt so comfortable and at home we booked another night and then another. In the end we had to leave to get out transfer to Puerto Escondido. I would prefer to stay here than central Oaxaca in the future. The food and hospitality is lovely and with a big heart! It would help if you want to book this place, That you can speak some Spanish. My partner is from Mexico and I can understand conversations but keep in mind this is a small town where many people speak two languages already and that doesn’t include English necessarily! The staff will look after you what ever your country of course! We spent lots of time in the pool. It’s heated enough to enjoy in the evenings, mornings, etc Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. There is no air conditioner but we were not hot. It cools down at night and there is fly screens
