We loved this place a lot! Beautiful setting on the lake, in the jungle with very nice facilities. A special thank you needs to go out to Ruby and Rudolfo. Their kindness and cooking skills were exceptional. We would love to come back very soon!

Beautiful little boutique hotel. Couple of km down a very bumpy dirt track so be prepared for that but if you want a 'get a way from it all' this place is perfect.

It had everything I wanted and let me fully relax. We went into town one day and I was so happy that we had chosen to stay at Cayuco Maya instead. The food, vibe and views were all perfect.

We came to Hotel Playa Laguna Front to unplug, relax, and enjoy the lagoon -- and that's exactly what we did for 5 days. The hotel is in a prime location, sitting at perhaps the most colorful, swimmer-friendly part of the lagoon. You can tell it's a prime spot because a lot of boat tours end around this area to let people swim in the lighter waters there near the cenote. It's also only a couple kms from the town center, so you can easily get into town while still having enough distance from the more touristy center. The hotel itself isn't a fancy upscale place, but that's not what we were looking for. Nonetheless the hotel is new and the facilities are clean/modern with great bathrooms. The hotel is run by a lovely team who were really accommodating...big thanks to the manager Evaristo for always being there to help with any questions. Another great thing is that the kayaks and sup-boards are free to use from 6am to 6pm. The only day you can't use them is on Wednesday when no water activities (other than swimming) are allowed across the lagoon. Wednesdays are conservation days, with inactivity allowing the lagoon to restore itself.

Perfect location right on the lake, super friendly staff, delicious food and a really peaceful place. By far one of the best places to stay in Bacalar. Really unique experience and super clean rooms.

The room was clean and spacious. We received fresh towels. There is a small shop nearby for convenience. the property has a lovely garden. The parking area is gated and secure.

We loved everything about this place! It consists of several wooden bungalows in a beautiful garden, backing onto the lake. Best thing about it is the large wooden pier extending into the lake with sunbeds, and swings and hammocks in the lake. The views are amazing and there are canoes you can use. Breakfast is simple but adequate. The staff is really great and helpful, and everything is very well kept and clean. Warmly recommended.

The location is absolutely amazing and so are the staff. We couldn't speak Spanish and the staff were extremely accommodating. They set up a WhatsApp group which makes everything extra smooth. The staff were helpful in booking taxis (and translating our needs for various stops to the drivers). Highly recommend availing of the kayaks (free) and jet ski to see more of the lagoon. We walked along a lot of the lagoon and visually seemed to be by far the best location to stay.

Beautiful place, excellent staff and, while not all staff members were equally experienced, it was an engaged team. Beautiful rooms, clean and well equipped and decorated. Great pool and location. Highly recommended, take the sailing boat trip with Hugo as your captain.
