I stayed in the room Nr.8 with Kingsize bed which had a very beautiful painting on the wall and a balcony with perfect view on the laguna. The hotel is located in a central location to go to restaurants or the central place from Rio Largatos, but still directly at the laguna. In the breakfast-room there are several bird guide books in English and Spanish as the owner is a hobby birdwatcher too. She took me on a tour inland and indicated me several places (cemetery, calle 23 or 25...) for birdwatching to be reached by foot where I shot excellent fotos. Flamingos from 5 meters distance.... At first I took a cheap bird watching boat tour through the lagune but the guide knew very little about birds, but then I booked a second boat tour via the hotel with a certified guide, Paco. More costly - but worth the additional money as the guide indicated many birds I would not have seen without him, even an Pygmy Owl and Green Heron (among 7 other Heron species) and would stop the boat to have time to observe them. As the hotel was just perfect for me, I prolonged my stay to 11 days. Beds had good matraces and rooms were clean. Personel was very friendly.
