The Hotel: A beautiful property with stunning original architecture and decorative details—truly candy for the eyes! The magnificent traveler’s palm trees in the courtyard were absolutely striking. Room: Very comfortable overall. Good a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with enough amenities. Quietness: Despite being on a busy street, the inside of the hotel felt completely insulated from the noise of traffic. Room is very quite ( without the AC on) Location: Quite good. While the street itself isn’t particularly interesting, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the city center. The walk is safe, even at night. Parking: A paid private parking lot was available at another property right next door , and the cost was quite reasonable.

Staff was extremely friendly and proactive. The hotel offers free bikes that you can rent to get around the city. Also, it is located just next to Mérida's most famous strip - Paseo Montejo - which hosts beautiful restaurants and cafes. The design and detail of the hotel are absolutely incredible!

This hotel is amazing. Simple but has everything. The staff is exceptional. I have seen staff being very helpful in other hotels but at Casa Tavera the staff goes above and beyond to accomodate the guests, help them plan the best visits and book tours for them.
