This is a great hotel for anyone wanting to explore Oaxaca City and its environment. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Clean room and bathroom that are very spacious and have all amenities. We left with a bag full of gifts and we’re offered free drinks whenever passing by the front desk.

We loved our stay at Fernanda & Fernando’s lodge boho-chic style in the middle of flowers, greenery and eclectic decorations. We first stayed in a double room then moved for the last 2 nights to the room with king bed and kitchen, which is a worthwhile upgrade. The hosts and their staff work hard to keep this huge compound welcoming and clean, it seem to have further expansion plans. We could not use the beautiful pool as water was a bit cold (normal during this season) and did not eat at the restaurant as it closes at 5-5.30pm, too early for us after spending the day visiting the region. The village of Huayapam is an excellent surprise. Great location just 30min from Oaxaca center and easy starting point to visit Monte Alban, Mitla, Arrazola, Hierve el Agua and so many other fascinating places. Tiny but super cute with amazing restaurants, esp the family run Luz de la Luna (we live in Peru and the food and cocktails are at the level of some best Lima restaurants). Huayapam and its friendly inhabitants are worth being much better known and supported! Mil gracias y suerte!!!

This small boutique hotel, 6 or 7 rooms only, has an excellent location steps away from the historic and lively downtown area. Despite its proximity to the main tourist square, the hotel itself is secure and peaceful. Our spacious and spotless room was upstairs, overlooking a small courtyard, with windows opening on to it. Breakfast is not provided but Tito's, a local restaurant, is virtually next door and was recommended by our concierge. Coffee and tea were provided in the room, plus 4 small bottles of water per day. We only had to supplement this once during our 4 day visit. Violetta, our charming concierge, was available either in person or 24 hours a day on WhatsApp. She arranged a great private tour for us, custom-made to go to the places we wanted to visit and organized our return to the airport. Don't just think about it: stay here! You'll be lucky if there's a room available!

The hotel is even more beautiful than the photos! The photos do not do it justice. It is very clean and very pretty. The room we stayed in was spacious. We had a bad experience at an AirBnb the night before checking in to the hotel and the staff at the hotel were so incredibly kind to us and allowed us to check in early at no extra cost. The staff were extremely helpful answering our questions about Oaxaca. The hotel has a charming garden courtyard. The breakfast at the hotel is tasty and the breakfast room is cute. The location is excellent. Family and child friendly.
