Kuah was nice, the locals were very friendly and we found some restaurants that served great food, however, our accommodation could have been better. There were things in the apartment that did not work and we had a booking for 5 adults but there were only two coffee cups, four chairs. Many things to do: Geoparks, mangrove river tour, wildlife, Maha Tower, beautiful beaches and sunsets, cable cars and sky bridge, island hopping on speed boats, as well as delicious Malay, international cuisine and seafoods. Overall my fav part of the Island, with plenty of places. Scarborough FIsh n Chips is a great place to visit on Wednesday Nights for a beer and live music, along with Jacks bar. Kuah is a town with a night market etc but it's not a beach resort so quiet if that's what you want! You will need to rent some wheels from the hotel or use taxis. A GRAB to Tanjung Rhu beach was about 30 Ringgit. Dont miss the SktCab and Sky Bridge. The hotel was exceptional value. Big, bright rooms, great views from the balcony.
