This is the perfect place to stay in Kuala Tahan. The backyard with the stunning riverfront view is really special and so relaxing — just what you need after a day in Taman Negara. We spent 4D3N at Taman Negara staying at the lovely Hana Guesthouse. The rooms were clean, spacious, and fully functional. The owner and staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. They graciously allowed us to check in early and even provided extra tea bags and coffee, which we truly appreciated. The bathrooms were clean, and the room came with a spacious balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. We enjoyed watching lovely birds visiting the garden each day, which added to the peaceful atmosphere.

If I ever find myself back in Taman Negara, I’m definitely...

If I ever find myself back in Taman Negara, I’m definitely coming back to this place again. The owners and staff are so friendly, it feels like I’m back home! In fact, I ended up staying another night! yes, I highly recommend this place to anyone coming this way ( Taman Negara ) the place has restaurants , and they have a street night market with a lot of foods near by

We're vegans and it was a bit challenging to find food...

We're vegans and it was a bit challenging to find food without meat but it was possible. Lots of restaurants. No ATM but there is an ATM at the resort across the river. People were infallibly kind and friendly. If you like trekking in the jungle, this is a great place to be.

One day is enough to see what can be seen in the national park without a guide. The national park offers nature lovers many opportunities to see the jungle, including rare plant and animal species. It is possible to take hikes with overnight stays in the jungle - but only with a guide. It is also possible to stay in huts around the national park administration and in the evening observe jungle life from close quarters. It is worth taking a night walk through the jungle with a guide. It's only a little village, there are a few restaurants and small shops, no money exchange office,

Kuala Tahan is great for all those who want to experience...

Kuala Tahan is great for all those who want to experience the rainforest in real life but it is nothing for those who don't like to get sweaty or muddy or uncomfortable. It's a very small village you choices to eat are small but I would very much recommend the floating restaurant. They have very friendly staff and the food was great. If you go to Kuala Tahan and want to see more of the rainforest and go outside of the main tourist trails I really really really recommend you make a guided tour. There are many possibilities where you want to book what you want to see and if you'd like a one, two or even three day track. We did a one day track which was a lot of fun, very beautiful and interesting but at the same time don't underestimate the trail the terrain is doable but can be very steep and demanding. Nevertheless the experience is totally worth it. If you go to Malaysia I strongly recommend visiting Kuala Tahan.

The night hikes were back to back groups so with crowds and...

The night hikes were back to back groups so with crowds and noise no chance of seeing animals. You definitely should bring your own torch as you can't see where you are stepping and there are some slippery spots. Personally wouldn't do again. The canopy was nice albeit very narrow with only 4 allowed on it at a time. You are not allowed to stop or take photographs. Having to focus on my footing and not being able to stop and look makes it just going for a walk. Going through the rapids and getting wet is accomplished by guide literally rocking boat. The stop at village was the best part of trip. Fascinating how fire was started and the use of blow gun which we go to try.

We really enjoyed our stay at Taman Negara Rainbow Guesthouse. The staff were very kind and even came to us personally to let us know that the canopy walkway would be opening the next day for the first time in a year – such a thoughtful and helpful gesture, as otherwise we wouldn’t have known! The location is excellent and the place has a cute and cozy design. Overall, a lovely stay and we would recommend it.

The owners are very hospitable, gentle and kind! They want to make you feel comfortable and they help you, no need for asking. The hotel looks so colourful, feels like a home and is located in a nice quiet place. The room is clean and has everything that you need. After a trip in Taman Negara you can get all the rest you need. Restaurants/ markets are nearby. I definitely would recommend it!

The position was perfect to explore taman Negara. The tours offered were great. It is also possible to have a great breakfast for 20 ringgit, they will prepare for you fresh eggs or pancakes every morning. The room itself was ok, of course there were some insects but you need to get used to it. Definitely recommended.

I love the environment it's quiet and far from the busy road. Near to the Taman Negara entrance and center. The room is big and clean. The staff is very helpful. Love the swimming pool after trekking.
