Definitely exceeded our expectation. The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable. Complete with amenities such as cordless vacuum that makes cleaning easier. The ambiance was perfect. Our visit to Santubong was a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills and set against the South China Sea, the area offers breathtaking views—especially during sunset at Damai Beach. The calm waves, golden skies, and majestic silhouette of Mount Santubong made it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. While we enjoyed the stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere, some parts of the beach and resort surroundings could benefit from better maintenance to preserve the natural charm. Still, Santubong remains a wonderful destination for those who appreciate quiet moments, nature, and beautiful coastal landscapes.

Breakfast selection was very limited and the time taken for replenishment was slow. The pool facilities overall was as what we expected (decent), but we had a very unpleasant experience with the team building group that were present. There was loud techno music being played by the pool reception staff and when I approached him to request for him to either change the music or tone down the volume, he informed me that the music was requested by the other guests. I was later informed by the staff concerned that he did not have a choice but to honor the guests requests (which is totally understandable), but what made it a total turn off was the fact that the management did not put conditions on these types of guests requests which potentially disrupts the peace and serenity. I could go elsewhere if I'm being a "Karen" about this feedback, but it's my honest review. Apart from the crappy techno / rave music that was blasting from the pool area and the poor selection of breakfast, I'd give 4 stars for the service/ hospitality by the staff in general.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain. Breakfast & other meals can be improved ~ however we should give management grace period post lockdown. Please improve the wifi - it can’t be used. Visit Cultural Village- it is within walking distance & nicely set up.

It is an actual tree house; the outside is very old and looking quite dangerous but inside is more than acceptable. Air-con is on before we checked in, so it has no strange smell or bugs as we expected. The sunset and sunrise view are priceless, and we are glad we chose this experience. Cafe with the hotel offered good dinner and free breakfast to us. I also bought a beautiful hand weaved tote bag with a better price than inside the city.

The staff is so friendly. My partner was ill when we stayed here, and they took such good care of us. The hotel is beautiful, especially the pool area is very nice. The rooms are very spacious and we really enjoyed the terrace in our garden room.

Tropical island feel. Great pools, slide was a major success with kids. Beach is beautiful, Santubong mount is majestic! Beds are super comfortable! Very clean and obviously is kept in a great shape!
