Leon is a pretty and interesting city.
Leon is a pretty and interesting city. We enjoyed a walking tour and the art museum was absolutely fantastic. We also really enjoyed doing a few trips from here - to the beach/mangroves at Las Penatas, and a volcano hike. Leo is a very visitor friendly city.

We found the one-way streets quite confusing for driving...

Beautiful, historic and young student city.
Beautiful, historic and young student city. Wish I stayed longer here! Museum of the Revolution explained the history and context of Leon so well, would highly recommend. The old part of town is a quaint colonial place with a lot of restaurant options; I recommend the small food tour offered to see the market and learn about the different fruits and dishes. Rodrigo and his wife are so welcoming and kind. Everything that you need is there (coffee, tea, cold water, a fully equipped kitchen), including information and a laundry service that is great value for money (possibly the best that I have had in my 5 weeks of travelling so far!).
