The room was really cool! Nice big room with big bed and lovely bathroom with a bath and shower and plenty of room in it. The location is brilliant! It's about 15 minutes walk from the centre but is in its own little area with lots of bars and restaurants and is very close to the canal. I loved walking in and out of the main city as the walk is along a canal in a very pleasant part of the town.

Spacious room with a very comfy bed. Excellent location ~ close enough to the Central train station but in the heart of the action of the old city. Boon's grocery store a 2 minute walk away. The balcony doors allowed us to enjoy the busy-ness of the street below at an arms length. We appreciated the provision of a few essentials that allowed us to have snacks in our room. Friendly host who was interested in our well being.

We stayed in a Large Double room and I have to say, it was great. Spotless clean. Exactly as on the photos. The bath above the bed was large enough for 1 person (sadly not for 2). Really comfy bed. The terrace was a big plus, which was one of the reasons why I booked this type of room. As a person, working in the hotel business, I usually can see a sort of deficiency, which a normal person can't see, but here it was almost nothing. The staff was great and helpful. The same goes for the night shift, who didn't have a problem being asked for some help/assistance even during the night. The rate is higher than average in the area, but it's completely worth it.

This is one of the most comfortable and friendliest places I ever stayed in. My room had ample space, I liked the vintage appliances in the shower and on the handbasin, and an absolutely fantastic idea is the little board they serve the breakfast on and bring to your table.So you can have a very comfortable breakfast, looking out at Mariaplaats waking up. The extremely friendly staff always have time for a conversation. Utrecht is a walking-friendly city, in the evening actually quite romantic, with nice cafes and restaurants to hang out - my favorite one very quickly became the Louis Hartlooper Complex, for snacks and a beer. The hotel is also ideally located, between the station Utrecht Centraal and the binnenstad.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and happy to speak English. We were given a room at the back of the hotel as the front could have been quite noisy as it is adjacent to a busy road. Towards the end of our stay we noticed some damp on the ceiling of our bedroom below the air conditioning. We reported the situation and reception were swift to investigate. Unfortunately the situation worsened overnight to a 'drip' and the following morning the hotel were able to move us to another room on the same floor without any problem.
