The place was clean and nice, and most of all the staff was really nice ! I could chat with some people there and even ended up carpooling with a really nice employee (if you read this I'll be eternally grateful!). The breakfast was also enjoyable and going to the Dicky Woodstock festival from there was pretty easy. In one single word : perfect !

Very friendly staff. From the first moment we arrived till the moment we left. The room was very spacious and very lovely decorated. The breakfast was amazing. Not only was it very complete and tasty. They went the extra mile in preparing the breakfast with eye for small details.

Absolutely everything! So much attention to detail - stylishly decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were very pleased that, although the room was on the small side (not a problem as we knew this when booking), the bed was still huge and felt so luxurious. Breakfast was amazing! Jaap was a lovely host who is clearly a natural in hospitality and is so helpful - a great guy!

The decoration of the house is really nice and classic. We stayed at a triple room and there is a bed for kid. The property is really clean and convenient! The owner is super nice to pick us up at the gas station because some of the roads are blocked! He is so warm hearted! We hope to stay at the same place next time! Great sleep with the comfortable mattress!

From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was absolutely fantastic. We were warmly welcomed and immediately given a detailed explanation about the city, including important guidelines regarding restricted traffic areas, boat rentals, suggested routes, and the main attractions to visit. Their guidance made a huge difference in how smoothly our trip went. Breakfast was another highlight—everything was fresh and delicious, especially the homemade bread, which was simply outstanding. One particularly thoughtful gesture was that the hotel kindly allowed us to leave our car parked there (even after the check-out) while we explored the area, which made everything so much easier and stress-free. The Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience, and I would gladly return!

It's not a bad little town.

It's not a bad little town. Lots of places to eat not far from the B&B. Clean streets. Some graffiti. I'm not sure what the draw would be for tourists, but I had business there and it was quite enjoyable.

The room was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable everything about it was perfect. The bathroom was stunning and well-equipped, making the experience even more enjoyable. From the warm friendly welcome until our farewell, this will be the hotel that first comes to mind after 5 weeks of travel for all the right reasons. We really appreciated everything about this property. Eric was amazing and went the extra mile - collecting us from the train, good advice about the area and assisting us with our trip to Giethorn. Steenwijk is a gorgeous place and one worth spending some time in.

Villa Steenwyck Giethoorn located very near to city center of Steenwijk. The ambience of hotel is very nice and its one of the memorable one. Rooms were very nice, neat & clean. I strongly recommend the best place to stay if in the planning to be in Steenwijk.

A lovingly restored old house in the centre of Steenwijk, a few minutes walk from the market and Rams Woerthe. Apparently also a very good restaurant, but we didn't get the chance to eat there.
