It's hard to capture the experience in words, which is why writing this review is particularly tricky. But we really had a wonderful stay at the property. We were with four people, and the hosts personally welcomed us to the property and showed us around. It's a nice 2 storied house with a terrace and a stunning view over a fjord. We were a bit ravished after a day of driving (and a week of sailing preceding that), and the little snacks and fruit that the hosts left for us were particularly welcome. It felt like arriving at home to your family rather than an rental property. The whirlpool is a whole different story in itself. Prior to going to Norway I had this image of what it would be like to celebrate New Year there. And I imagine sitting in a jacuzzi, warm and cosy, while being surrounded by harsh elements and cold. This is exactly what we got to experience during our stay. But with the added benefit of again enjoying a stunning view over the fjord and the ripples an occasional wind gust left on its waters. It was nothing less than magical. The property also has a full complement of equipment for various activities, such as SUP boards (with life vests), fishing rods and barbecue. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy these, but seeing all the possibilities made me want to come back to the property and spend a few more nights there next time.

Nice location. Good diner and a great breakfast. The personel was very friendly and helpfull. It is a old building, but it has all the charm to stay here.

With mountain views, Marmelkroken AS is situated in Risøyhamn and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar, garden, outdoor fireplace and children's playground.

Very nice apartment situated high up at the entrance to Nyksund harbor with great views of the town, the ocean and surrounding mountains, which you can enjoy from comfy chairs or even the bed. A great painting by a local artist brightens up the sitting room which has floor to ceiling windows out to a large terrace. A small but pratical and stylish bathroom, and a small kitchen with new appliances. Clean apartment. Wonderful lunch/dinner and a great breakfast at Ekspedisjonen restaurant. We stayed one night with two little kids on a cloudy day - so I’m sure the views can get even more spectacular on clear and sunny days. We can highly recommend this place.
