Great location. Beside train station, Tourist information center, Mall. The apartment is very clean and spacious. Large living room and bathroom. All facilities work fine. Host is kind. She offered late check-out to 11:00 after she knew we must check-in very late caused Oslo-Mydral train had power supply issue.

I booked by mistake, but since it was a non-refundable cancellation option, I keep the reservation and I must say that it was worth of 1 hr extra drive in one way as the location, the apartment itself and its equipment, the comfort deserve 10 in each of the parameters, I highly recommend it. Thanks for hospitality

I had a wonderful stay at this new container hotel. The property feels very fresh, with all the equipment and fittings being modern, high-quality, and well maintained. Everything was spotless and clean, which made the stay extra comfortable. The design is sleek yet cozy, and the riverside location adds a very relaxing vibe—you can really unwind while enjoying the scenery. There’s also a comfortable outdoor seating area with a fire pit, which made the evenings extra special. Sitting by the fire with the river beside you was an amazing experience.

Wonderful place.

Wonderful place. We visited in early December so very quiet and peaceful. Spectacular views It snowed which made it even more magical. The people are so friendly and the food delicious. Loved the feel of being surrounded by mountains looking out across the fjord.

A quiet village nestled at the head of a beautiful fiord...

A quiet village nestled at the head of a beautiful fiord with towering mountains all around. Excellent facilities including a bakery, grocery store, Mall of Norway and several restaurants, plus fast food outlets. Mini cruises available to nearby attractions, kayaks for hire and lakeside saunas. The most notable attraction is the world famous Flam Railway which climbs to almost 3000 feet a.s.l. up to Myrdal, where it connects to the Oslo to Bergen line.

Flam is a very small village with lots of tourist.

Flam is a very small village with lots of tourist. It is a beautiful place, don't get me wrong. I think the Nærøyfjord cruise was the best one, compared to Hardanger Fjord and Lysefjord. Unfortunately, it was super windy and rainy so we had to turn around half way through the cruise and couldn't do much of other activities as some of them had to be cancelled.

Everyone will tell you it’s a tiny tourist trap with nothing...

Everyone will tell you it’s a tiny tourist trap with nothing to do etc and yes, it’s the tourists’ first stop in the fjords and everything is overpriced. However, if you explore, you can find things to see and do from there. It’s peaceful and quite beautiful, so definitely go when there isn’t a cruise ship in the tiny port.

Flam port is not a little town it's a port with tourist...

Flam port is not a little town it's a port with tourist facilities and the famous amazing train trip which we loved. I would recommend people staying in nearby towns like Aurlands which has a little town vibe. I did not visit the proper town of Flam but I'm sure it would also be charming.

This is a scenic place and a getaway for all the ‘Norway in a nutshell’ tours. Unfortunately prices and level of service do not match up. The local businesses are hungry for tourist money, but don’t provide a warm, welcoming environment for visitors. Feels more transactional than most other equally touristy places.

All rooms come with an excellent view, ours was no less. The hotel is very near the train station and has a free luggage drop room for those looking to take tours before the check-in time. The staff are extremely courteous and informative. The restaurant served tasty food, and the breakfast was good too. Room was clean, spacious and overall, the stay was excellent. Value for money compared to the other options available at Flam.

The location is spectacular and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and we had our own nespresso machine and kettle for hot drinks. Great location for train and to get ferry to Gudvangen. Be warned Norway is incredibly expensive. Gudvangen to Flam which is a 20 minute bus journey cost £40 per person. The breakfast in this hotel is excellent.

Staff very helpful; came to clean room when I said it was dirty. Easy to find along the riverside. Near the shops, only 13 minute straightforward walk. Away from the millions of tourists. Genuine Norway in Flam! Reasonable kitchen and facilities.
