This is an exceptional place to stay for many reasons! I was greeted by Hermod who gave me lots of useful information on arrival and was very welcoming. The property is spotlessly clean and has all the facilities you need for staying and cooking. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and there was nothing extra needed. Shared bathroom is large and very clean too. The property's location overlooking a beautiful beach and mountains is fantastic and I had this same wonderful view from my window. The owners Heloíse & Hermod live upstairs and are available if you need anything but leave you alone unless you need them. Would love to come back here one day!

SO MUCH BETTER than camp cabins where you have to put on your warm clothes to go outdoors to get to the toilet block. Here, you can remain indoors to use the toilet/shower. And the wifi works fine in the room. And crisp, clean bedlinen were provided!!!

The house has several good points, including house is quiet and clean, shower water is strong enough, having free parking space beside the house, having three room and spaces are big enough, bed and quilt is comfortable. Especially, the kitchen supplies are very sufficient and all the cooking supplies are very new, the landlord is very friendly and helpful. Besides, from the house can see the beautiful fjord view and can go to the fjord as it is nearby the house.

The host was really nice, they offered luggage storage for our backpacks while we went on the Kvalvika and Ryten hike ! The place had everything we needed and it was spacious

Fredvang has wonderful hikes but can be pretty frustrating...

Fredvang has wonderful hikes but can be pretty frustrating if you don't have a car. There is a single restaurant on the island with limited hours and no grocery store. It is rarely serviced by buses and the walk to the main drag is 40 min long across stretch of road that are incredibly narrow forcing you either to have cars pass you very closely or walking uncomfortably in ditches until you hit the bridges which have side walks.

It is a relatively quiet area with beautiful surroundings, it is away from E10, but still close to main attractions on island. The busiest spot is the hiking people going to kvalvika beach, the parking place is always full

Fredvang is in the midway.

Fredvang is in the midway. To the right, Leknes and many beaches and left, A-lofoten, Rhine that we can drive back and forth easily. Grocery is nearby for buying food. For Lydersen Rorbuer, background view is great for taking picture, not too much light, with mountain and shadow of aurora in the water. However if you drive in Lofoten, especially in winter with snow, you've to be more careful of narrow and slippery road.

Superb nature and landscape. Lot´s to see and do.

Superb nature and landscape. Lot´s to see and do. Services only few miles away at Ranberg, should be mentioned separately well-equipped local store! For dinner I recommend to visit Reine and its nice restaurants. Travelling with car is effortless and quick to all-around. This was first time visiting Lofoten but definately not the last. All in all this is so much nicer way to spend holiday than going to Atlantic mass-tourism islands or far east that many Scandinavians prefer. Have to admit that I think Lofoten is the most beautiful place that I ever visited.
