Lovely Historical Building !! Amazing set up in a huge park just next to the village or Sandburg walk via the amazing super well maintained park surrounding. The city of Fredrikstad nearby is absolute Gem !! For the lovely restaurant and Architecture by the water not to be missed. The staff at the reception & reservation of the Hotel are so lovely & friendly and attentive !

Less than a 10-minute drive from central Sarpsborg, this property offers a range of adventurous sports and leisure activities at Superland, including a large waterpark and mini golf.

I liked that it was possible to pay for swimming pool and playground at the reception for 2days staying immediately. Rom was ok, bed was soft and big. Breakfast buffet was tasty,a lot to choose from. Swimming pool and playground were close to each other. Didn't have to go out. A lot activities for the kids. Big parking outside.

Nice clean quiet room. Nice breakfast. They offered us a safe place to park our bicycle overnight.

The value for money here was exceptional. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with lots of tasty options to start the day. The room was super spacious and had a really good view, which made the stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Victoria at the front desk — she was super helpful and kind, which made everything even better. My only downside is that I didn’t stay longer! Definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to Fredrikstad!

It is amazing to stay inside Gamlebyen. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite off of the central plaza. What you are paying for is partly the experience of staying in something historical and authentic and being in the heart of the old city. It is a unique experience to stay here. You can see and feel the history of the structure and imagine what it would have been like living in the area hundreds of years ago. At the same time it is updated with everything you could want including a washer and dryer. The private courtyard was lovely at night and in the morning. The artwork on the walls is also phenomenal. This suite is very rich in texture and was just beautiful. The bedroom on the main level had a glass door (with a wooden dutch door outside). You could open it up to the courtyard, which was a lovely touch. There is another bedroom upstairs along with the large kitchen and living room. Downstairs is the main bedroom and 3/4 bathroom with the washer and dryer. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Wished I would have taken photos of the upper floors to post here.
