Amazing place and the value for money is ridiculous. We had a room with mountain view, it was gorgeous. The service is really excellent and they make anything happen for their customers. One of the best places we stayed in KTM by far, and we went to quite a lot of hotels.

Great hotel. Much more that I was thinking about. Stuff and CEO is very helpful and do all of their best to help you. Food was good in hotel. Room was comfortable, but remember, you have no heating in Nepal. So, you must use conditioner to heat the room. And you'll get one-way free transfer from or to airport. It was great experience in this hotel. Highly recommend. Location - in the historical center of Kathmandu.

Our stay at Oasis Kathmandu was simply perfect! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of a family. The staff was incredibly friendly, always attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our experience truly special. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with comfortable and well-maintained rooms that provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The restaurant was outstanding, offering delicious, perfectly prepared meals that exceeded our expectations every time. And the location? Absolutely ideal! Nestled close to the city center, the hotel is just a 15-minute walk to Durbar Square, and the route takes you right through a vibrant bazaar—the perfect chance to pick up unique gifts and souvenirs while soaking in the lively atmosphere of the Thamel quarter. This area is a dream for backpackers, with its charming streets, hidden gems, and rooftop restaurants offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains. One of the highlights of our trip was a Himalayan exploration tour that the hotel staff arranged for us. The price was reasonable, and we spent a whole day hiking in the hills, getting closer to the majestic mountains we had longed to see. It was exactly what we were looking for, and we truly appreciated how effortlessly they helped make it happen. A home away from home. This place is a prime example of where one can still receive 5 star hospitality without staying in a 5 star hotel. I was provided free pickup from the airport and to my next hotel. Breakfast was simple and yet delicious. And you can eat as much as you like. Food is served fresh from the kitchen. Every hotel staff are so friendly. Even the manager was checking on each guest during breakfast to ensure that they were satisfied with their meals and stay.

    On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen...

    On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen money from my poshest. Until that time I had thought that Nepali were honest and diligent. So that I didn’t pay attention to things like having my money stolen on the bus. On the last day the airport was closed because of the strike, so I had to reschedule my ticket and stay in hotel one night more The city is so dusty and lots of rubbish. However, I like the old cultural constructions and festivals.

    You have to say No!

    You have to say No! Everyone wants you to buy from them but they are used to being rejected. There are some people wanting to talk to you, often wanting to show you their workplaces etc so they can lure you in to buy their wares. Conversations always start with Hello sir/madam. Which country are you from? However, lovely people and a lo ely place, full of history and religious beliefs.

    Treekers home provides an excellent accommodation facilities in low cost. Especially, staffs were very helpful and the location of the hotel was also nice. Note: There is a big room to improve the light and bathroom facilities. But it is perfect for those who find low cost hotel in Thamel.

    Mostly stayed in Thamel tourist area and ate at many local spots: House of MoMo, Third Eye, Yok Bar were all great! But careful as some of the menu descriptions can be a little misleading. Ex: I received a 'chicken skewer' meal that was NOTHING like described. It was even missing the skewers. But the staff was extremely helpful and eager to please. The traffic/driving is crazy! Mopeds/motorbikes are high percentage of use, with automobiles being less visible in the high tourist areas. It is REALLY dusty everywhere. Wear a mask or buff if you have allergy/breathing issues. Always carry your own TP if you're not used to using squatty potty's and bidets!

    Thamel is a good location for tourist, shopping and food will totally depend on your choices. Friendly area and lost of money changes and ATM. It's a good place if you like working. Pls ensure that you have a mask as it is a little dusty.

    This is the third time I stayed in this hotel because their budget private rooms are the best deal I could find in Thamel district. I used to pay almost the same for a bed in shared dorms in hostels but after I found this place it’s a no brainer just get their budget private room with private bathroom and you will probably have much better sleep and privacy. Also the balcony style access to the rooms are kind of nice
