Best stay in Kathmndu. Picup from airport was very good, next morning we ware leaving before breakfast and they made us a breakfast to go. We booked a bus to Pokhara there and in the morning they brought us for free to the bus stand. Very helpful staff!

The manager mr Ganga was superb in every way. He made our stay comfortable. His staff was well trained n treated guest with warm n politeness. I totally recommend those who wants a quiet and comfortable stay but still close to all amenities to stay here. Furthermore, there is free airport pickup n d driver was very efficient n punctual.     On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen money from my poshest. Until that time I had thought that Nepali were honest and diligent. So that I didn’t pay attention to things like having my money stolen on the bus. On the last day the airport was closed because of the strike, so I had to reschedule my ticket and stay in hotel one night more The city is so dusty and lots of rubbish. However, I like the old cultural constructions and festivals.

    You have to say No!

    You have to say No! Everyone wants you to buy from them but they are used to being rejected. There are some people wanting to talk to you, often wanting to show you their workplaces etc so they can lure you in to buy their wares. Conversations always start with Hello sir/madam. Which country are you from? However, lovely people and a lo ely place, full of history and religious beliefs.

    Treekers home provides an excellent accommodation facilities in low cost. Especially, staffs were very helpful and the location of the hotel was also nice. Note: There is a big room to improve the light and bathroom facilities. But it is perfect for those who find low cost hotel in Thamel.

    Why satkar hotel and spa write because of that spa is not available it's very wrong information to people due to all are booking stay with spa facilities is available therefore my suggestion please remove spa word immediately Kathmandu is very good please for visiting

    Mostly stayed in Thamel tourist area and ate at many local spots: House of MoMo, Third Eye, Yok Bar were all great! But careful as some of the menu descriptions can be a little misleading. Ex: I received a 'chicken skewer' meal that was NOTHING like described. It was even missing the skewers. But the staff was extremely helpful and eager to please. The traffic/driving is crazy! Mopeds/motorbikes are high percentage of use, with automobiles being less visible in the high tourist areas. It is REALLY dusty everywhere. Wear a mask or buff if you have allergy/breathing issues. Always carry your own TP if you're not used to using squatty potty's and bidets!

    Thamel is a good location for tourist, shopping and food will totally depend on your choices. Friendly area and lost of money changes and ATM. It's a good place if you like working. Pls ensure that you have a mask as it is a little dusty.

    This is the third time I stayed in this hotel because their budget private rooms are the best deal I could find in Thamel district. I used to pay almost the same for a bed in shared dorms in hostels but after I found this place it’s a no brainer just get their budget private room with private bathroom and you will probably have much better sleep and privacy. Also the balcony style access to the rooms are kind of nice

    Situated in the thamel area my garden house is amongst the best hotels I had experienced with beautiful garden ,clean and neat rooms hotel staffs are very helpful and most amazing thing is food which was best .and main thing is the transportation which you can find very easily just one minute to reach tourist bus station .

    Classic hotel - very atmospheric. Maybe not the best option for the business that I had to carry out (wifi was a bit flaky when I needed it to work), but as a tourist doing a bit of trekking and looking for nice places to eat, the location in Thamel is second to none.
