GermanyPramesh and Noemi are the perfect hosts - they make sure you are happy at all times!
They have both travelled themselves, so they know what makes for a comfortable stay, e.g. they have a chill-out space with hammocks, the beds are great, there is space to leave your stuff, the bathrooms don't have the usual nuisances like shower over the toilet and what we really appreciated: if you have no safari planned for the day, there is no fixed breakfast time, come when you like, so no stress.
All the staff are super friendly too and it makes for a very relaxed stay.
Dinner is great, everybody eats together and there is no menu but rather a different dinner set every night that can be altered to individual preferences/ needs.
It is great to sit together in the evening and swap stories of the day.
The place seems to attract a certain type of traveller and it fits really well and makes it enjoyable to have a drink and a chat together.
Pramesh is also a guide in the Bardia National Park and we went on two trips with him, a walking and a jeep safari, and both were great. We had the impression that we got to see a lot more than other people who stayed at different lodges that we ran into. Ramesh is very experienced and has a lot of patience, so we really got to "meet" all the wonderful inhabitants: 5 tigers, one big male wild elephant, several rhinos, deers, different species of birds (also the big hornbills!), it was amazing!
Ramesh's cheerful personality makes it a pleasure to spend time with him.
We got a very warm send-off and it felt to us that we had arrived as strangers and left as friends.
We hope to be back soon!
