- Room is spacious and looks fancy, with useful chairs and table, a huge TV. - Bed is wide and a set of soft pillows which gave us a nice and comfortable rest after an exhausting trip - Bathroom is clean and complete with bathrobes and towels, tissues with hair blower - Staffs are friendly and helpful, even met Filipinos who are accommodating at our requests and the one who’s in charge in the bar gladly gave us refill for our empty water bottles - Buffet breakfast is great, there is plenty of rice which I didn’t get quite a lot during our travel, had several egg options which are savory and also had tea, coffee, milk, or juice to choose from for a drink. We were full and ready for the day’s adventure!

FAQs about hotels in Auckland

Thrilling City of Sails and Volcanoes

Called the 'City of Sails' due to the large number of yachts anchored in Waitemata Harbour, Auckland is the largest city of both New Zealand and Polynesia. Built on the Auckland Volcanic Field featuring about 48 extinct volcanoes, this city truly offers a blast!

Auckland is a real cultural mix with strong Asian, European, Maori and Polynesian influences, celebrated in frequent festivals and sporting events. Some examples of these cultures can be seen at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of the best in New Zealand. For more, try the upmarket dining of the Viaduct Harbour.

Another must-see is the tallest free-standing tower in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, you can even perform the Sky Jump, a controlled base jump from 192 metres!

Climbing the volcanic cones as well as the stunning Auckland Harbour Bridge will provide unforgettable, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. For a different perspective, why not try a cruise or sea kayaking?

Getting to the city centre is an easy trip from Auckland International Airport. Find modern hotels, comfortable motels and cheap hostels on Booking.com, sure to have the perfect accommodation for your holiday.

We are from Nelson. So, the Auckland CBD is always a treat. We loved our son's favourite Chinese takeaway outlet. He'll be coming home for good today, because he has graduated from university, while we were there. We hope to return, and when we do, we'll stay at your property.

I lived in Auckland for forty years before moving to the Bay of Plenty. I come regularly to visit family and friends. Quest Queen St was a great central location and I would use it again. Eateries in the location were not easy to find. Also, regrettably, the number of homeless people with issues on the street from early evening is quite difficult for a woman on her own. I fee very sorry for these people. Hopefully the Council and welfare organisations can help with this problem. It is a safety issues and one which does not endear Auckland to strangers and tourists. I found Uber very useful.

We took a ferry from the harbour to Waiheke Island and caught the hop on hop off bus. We were late leaving the hotel and the HOHO buses were only running every hour as it's not peak season yet - they run more often in another month. The island is worth a visit but more time needs to be allowed to do it justice. Car hire is worthwhile to see the sights outside of the CBD, but not necessary for the CBD sights eg Sky Tower, Weta Workshop.

Excellent location close to the hospital.

Excellent location close to the hospital. The mattress was the most comfortable one I have ever slept on in any accommodation I have ever been in. This is a massive plus!!! for your motel. Well planned as to the the placement of the tv and all the furniture. The only downside was the bathroom. Really needs the bottom row of tiles replaced or at least painted. They look very fifty and unhygienic. The structure in the shower for aiding help also looks unhygienic these two things dramatically lower the quality of your motel

Auckland is such a vibrant city with so much to see and do.

Auckland is such a vibrant city with so much to see and do. I loved the mix of natural beauty and urban energy, being able to explore the waterfront, parks, and volcanic viewpoints while also enjoying great cafés, restaurants, and markets. Getting around was easy and the people were friendly and welcoming. If anything, the weather can be a bit unpredictable so packing a light rain jacket is a good idea. Overall I wish I had stayed longer as there is still so much more to explore!

We stayed there during the wind storm and our flight got delayed for a day. Most of the hotels were either fully booked or changed their pricing to outrageously high. Luckily the front desk staff was super helpful and managed to extend our stay for one more night due to a last minute cancellation by other clients. The room was spacious, clean and well-designed. front desk was 24 hours which was very helpful. it’s about a 10-15 min walk to the city centre with lots of dining options.

The room was wow. It has everything you could expect of a 5-star place. The rate was really great too. The location was fabulous – right next to the ferry pier, viaduct CBD and all the sights. I loved that I could get the Skybus to the airport from downstairs. The intercity bus is also right downstairs for trips outside Auckland. Its pricey but if you get a deal I would not stay anywhere else I used the sauna but could not use the spa as it was quite busy

I accidentally mixed my dates up (I'm blaming travel weariness) and arrived a day too early. Thankfully, the receptionist was able to book me into the same room for that night, so it wasn't an issue in the end. The hotel has a very good location, and the rooms were mostly quiet (other than one occasion, which I'll discuss below). Overall, for a relatively cheap price in comparison to most hotels in Auckland CBD, it's good value.

This was a last minute booking as we decided to collect a car from the airport and we needed a hotel with parking. We stayed at the ibis Budget Auckland Airport Hotel just for 6 hours before our flight next morning 8am. Check in process was quick and easy. Though i found the rooms to be small but it is sufficient for a couple with 1 kid. Room was clean, quiet and tidy.
